okay lol. We should delete 2.902. It caused everyone to much trouble. Some computers had that error, some didn't. It was hard enough to Find the error, and hard enough to fix it.

Am I the only one who's had the problem with the 3D notes not being coloured?
I figure my problem with notes and keys being too large is just because FoF's original neck was wider. Still would be good for an option to scale it, but that's leaning more into feature request than bugfix.

Maybe when I have some more time I'll look into these things myself. It would be good to have some sort of website or even forum thread dedicated to development where bugs are properly reported, and people can easily post code for fixes/improvements, but is not littered with requests or whatever. More of a technical one than a general one. *shrug*

Specifically in the RbMFH graphics mod in the current release, but I've seen the same problem in the GH3 graphics mod in previous releases (haven't tried the other graphics in 2.9 yet).

yes.

the drum high scores are broken too. not sure if thats a known issue

I have edited the drum bass note for the RbMFH theme to be slimmer so that it doesn't obscure the notes so much.

wouldnt it make more sense to alter the game logic to draw the old bar under the other notes rather than edit the graphic?

New section in the help-manual.txt file for the next patch:

=======================================================================
======================= Guitar Solo Markings ==========================
=======================================================================
To add Guitar Solos to a custom song, you can use either of two methods:

1: Rock Band Method) Add a "Section" marker (this is the most common way, RB uses this method)
Name this section marker "gtr_solo" or "gtr_solo_a" or something like that.
You may have several "gtr_solo_xxx" sections in a row for one single solo

The very next "Section" marker that does not say "gtr_solo" marks the end of the solo.

2: Guitar Hero Method) Add a regular MIDI text event "solo_on" to mark beginning.
Add another regular MIDI text event "solo_off" to mark ending.

Please note, if your solo markers contain any of the following words they might be filtered:
"Drum"
"Hand"
"Map"
"Organ"
"Verse"

how do I do that ? with what programs ?

sorry iam a noob :(

This is a temporary fix. The coding might not be complex for someone who is familiar with the code. But I haven't worked on the FoF/mod source, nor have I done any python before. This was the fastest way I could make the visuals playable, and I thought I'd share it.

hey btw. a long time bug ive seen in the game but never reported or seen anyone else report, that seems pretty big too.
you know how in guitar hero and rockband it allows you to hit any combinations of buttons below any single notes you are playing? well in fof/alarian, it allows you to do that on chords too.. like say you have a red/yellow chord to hit, you can hold down green/red/yellow if you want and itll score perfectly fine.
