so i have a mac and vmware fusion/boot camp so i also run Vista. i have a 2 gig song collection on the mac partition and i don't want to copy it over to the windows side though i can because i'm running out of room.
i have my songs folder in a shared files folder, and in order to access that easily i mapped it to a drive (Z). i can't use a junction to fake it as it won't let me access drive Z to do this, and i can't figure out how to use symlinks because i couldn't get THAT to use drive Z either!
so, what could i use? any suggestions/ideas?
symlink/junction type thing...

I didn't really understand (I'm French), but have you tried to force the song library in the fretsonfire.ini?
Open your fretsonfire.ini, and under [game], add this line (or modify if there is one):
base_library = Z:\Frets on Fire\data
(or your actual folder where 'songs' is located, don't add "\songs" after "\data", just say in which folder the 'songs' folder is).
I remember that ingame, it refuses to use another boot that the one in which FoF is, but that you can force it by the fretsonfire.ini...
