did you just create and/or import a custom fof song? a messed up song ini can cause this lag and maybe even permanently lag fof. use the same style song ini as any other song in your songs folder you should be fine.

Try reducing/increasing your audio buffer size. That should help.

find the rock band rip's folder in the songs folder under the fof data folder, open the ini up in notepad or text edit. you should see what seems to be the layout of the song. ERASE IT. open up a working song's ini and copy the text onto the now blank ini of the song folder. it should look something like this. if you don't have a working song to open up, or if you don't want to, copy this text to the ini instead:

[song]
artist = Kansas
count = 1
name = Carry On Wayward Son
scores =

once you have the text pasted, you can now change it to match the song the ini is working with.

[song]
artist = The Killers
count = 1
name = When You Were Young
scores =

like this. the count can stay the same, it doesn't matter. every songs count is the same.

once you've done all this, save your ini and open up frets on fire. It should be working now! if you've already deleted the song i dunno what to tell you. you should probably put another copy into fof start it, end it, and do everything above.

This works for me, if it seems helpful enough it should probably be stickied!
