I was wondering I use FOF with Alerian2 Mod , Is there Anyway to give more star notes so you can build star power up more , it seems very limited right now meaning you get only about 1 chance to use star power per song. I dont want a whole bunch , but more would be good!
PS If told how I can modify some files if Needed. But would be nice if perhaps in the future maybe a option in the menu such as Star Power Notes= Normal , =1.5x , =2x
Just a thought
More Star Power

Then, post in Thought? section ^^
Well, I don't agree with you, we've got enough Star Power. Stars come every 30 seconds (if I have a good memory). And I'm maybe wrong, but I think that the number of notes affects the stars spawning time... Just play a long song (like Metallica or DragonForce) on expert, you'll have a lot of stars (but after you got to hit them :p )

This is not for cheating , nor is it used to upload high scores , as people said if you play long songs its ok , but some shorter songs you dont get enough star notes to even be able to activate star power so get no multiplyer. Now playing with your friends more star power would mean a chance at different scores between you all. So if someone does have a either a fix or can tell me what part of the code to look for and modify I shall do it on my own. (A example of a few songs with not enough star notes , Psychobilly Freakout , and Shout at the Devil , and those are just 2 examples)
Star power comes about every 30 to 60 seconds depending on how fast the notes are coming. While one can practice without Star Power (SP) and make improvements, SP increases the depth of skill involved with the songs. Without SP the most accurate we can ever play a song is a FC, being mindful of seeing all held notes through their end. With SP it pays off to be mindful of all values involved in scoring in order to plan out the highest scoring SP paths, simultaneously being mindful of hitting every note.. The added depth of play is another level to compare two individuals avoiding ties that would occur from mutual FC's.
I've noticed that the console versions of Guitar Hero include more SP than what we have in Frets on Fire, comparing note charts definitely don't match up, but I think for FoF the current amount of SP works. Instead of simply popping over to score hero and grabbing the best SP paths for songs we get to explore them ourselves. But I do understand where you're coming from Darskwyn. On short songs it really doesn't feel like there's much opportunity for SP.

Or to shut everyone up, we code into FoF a way to make a sixth part in the midi files that handles star power (so instead of only notes, the midi also tells which notes are star power)
This would also maybe allow for drum fills after drums are worked into Alarian...
edit: So the charts would be similar to GH/RB charts. This might also let us hammer onto sustain notes (if coded right).

To add to my idea of us being able to put the star power notes in, we could make FoF only allow so many SP phrases per song, otherwise it just says that the chart has invalid SP notes. Then we could always opt to not use star power at all too (that way, idiots who make their songs with too many SP phrases can still get their songs played).

That would be hilarious. Play one of those 10+ minute songs and have a x395 halfway through XD
edit: And I'm not complaining. I'm just pointing out things that would make FoF better...
