It appears that the file needs to have certain properties to work correctly. 256x512 pixels, 72 dpi, 32 bit color png.

Nope, none of those numbers are correct. You can choose any size, DPI and bit depth (besides 8-bit) you want.

Hmmm... interesting. Then I cannot explain why a neck that crashed the game worked just fine after being converted to those properties.

in game it has a darkened tint, so as not to get annoying. idk why its not showing up like that.

EDIT: i gave a little color to it, so now it has more of a purplish tint to it. it looks better. ill up that one. the one in the d/l is still the gray one

crap, man. You guys make tons of necks... half of em i liked so i saved them.
but... for you guys who want to make there own neck use paint (or paint shop pro)...
Ill check the dimensions of the picture in pixels tommorow and post.

for now i have to leave.......
