Hey Guys! I'm new at this forum, and I was wondering: is there any way to play FoF with the Joystick (I have a Generic USB Joystick) without hitting the Pick button? I know that in the game configuration I can't change this setting, but maybe there is some kind of mod or some other program that can change the configuration... So, please help me! I know the game is ment to be played in the keyboard, but I really like playing it on the Joystick.

Thanks!

There's no reason to, it takes out all the fun.
What you wanna do is just play with the keyboard, if you don't have a guitar controller.
Trust me, it's alot more fun to play the game right, it just takes practice.

"Let me change the game so I can play it in a way that nullifies the intended effect!"

Why don't you just make a playlist, listen to it, and push random buttons on the pad? It doesn't even have to be plugged in! BONUS!
It's like if someone wanted to play a Wii game using a mouse & keyboard. You just DON'T.

Oh my gosh... You don't have to be so hard on me. It's the way I like it. I wanna play it with the Joystick. If you don't know how, you don't have to answer....

Ok i can answer this a real quick way YOU CANT DO IT. simple as that. there have been a few and i MEAN a few people that have asked it before and we shot them down in flames of horror and discust.
What you actually want to do is play it like that crap setting in GH where you dont have to pick. Sorry but 95% of the people on here positivly HATE that idea, its allmost considered cheating, so no one can be bothered to try making a mod to do it. Sorry !!

Search for a program called Joy2 Key. You'll still need to program a button or direction to act as the strum however. That's just how you play a guitar you know.

Without changing the source code there's no way to play without strumming.

I am working on hammerons and pulloffs at the moment. Similar, but not the same.

And it's not easy with the way the game works today.
