No... they did not have the subtle white glow like the other notes. I know the real Rock Band notes don't have white-glowing HOPOs but in FoF it is difficult to tell them apart just by relative size alone if there are not both types of notes on the screen at the same time for comparison.

I think the white notes would look even better if they were modeled after the other rows of notes (thinner, shaped differently). But this is looking great :)

They did? I couldn't see it before you changed it... the other HOPOs had a circular glow that was clearly visible in-game. I couldn't see any glow on the ones you originally made.

I just went back and looked in my paint program, on a grey transparent background so I can see the glows... the glow must have gotten faded when you applied the effects to them to make them white, I'm not too familiar with image effects.

At any rate, it's irrelevant -- everyone has different graphical tastes, which is why I'm linking all the different graphical options in my first hotfix post so it's easy to look through and decide what you want.

This is why I wanted to keep my hotfixes code-only.... releasing graphics means that some people will not be satisfied with the changes, everyone will use whatever graphics they like best.

*sigh* I used the logo from some image and made that background in 3 layers with some files I got from Worldrave. I could post the .psd when I'm back home if you're going to be persistent...

Either way... If you're just posting the same picture, let it be the original size... If it doesn't stretch to fullscreen, then we just change the code... There's no reason to use a stretched image that's larger in size without being of higher quality

Ok, Maze.

I have linked both your V1 and V2 RB notes in my first hotfix post for comparison.

I have also went ahead and put your V1 notes, that I contend have NO VISIBLE GLOW in-game for the starpower HOPO notes (row 6), on a black background just to prove this to you.

Look - your V1 notes on a black background:

...where's the circular glow? It's on rows 2 and 4... but not 6. The glow on row 6 is just not visible in-game.

Ah -- It IS your GH3 background, I remember now -- But it's my modification of the logo and the surrounding area. Was confused there for a bit :p

I don't want this to turn into an argument... I took the text, and the text alone. If you made it then I must say it's a great job...

However, who made what is absolutely irrelevant... what is relevant is performance... and even if the change is small, it's still there... So if you have an image that's 655xWhatever it was... there's absolutely no reason to enlarge the actual image-file to be 1024x768

Well, I don't want to turn it into an argument either -- But seriously, I *did* make that Frets on Fire logo...

As for the background size -- I'll switch it back down to 800x600 -- But I don't think it's necessary :/
