First of all I play in a weird style, pinkie on the green, facing my laptop normally.

Now, in real guitar there comes a point where the solos are just too insane for one hand...and I think I've come to that point in FoF. Now, is that what I am meant to do now, use my right hand as well as my left on solos, because I just can't do them (ie Dragonforce like) with one hand fast enough.

Should I just practice, practice, practice, or is there some other two-handed method I should learn?

In my opinion practice practice practice is not only the solution for you to pick all the notes faster..I play fof for a long time and i still cant hit all of the notes when they appeared so close to each other so solos like dragonforce ones are not so easy to me...you can use 2 hands to play them but you'll have to do the pick with your nose :D

Well I mean for the solos where you don't need to pick

Problem though, If you miss a note with the two handed form, you have to resume picking anyways. So it's a risk/reward type situation

and near impossible. the only song i know of to be tappable (?) is TTFAF and only on intro or trills or whatever you want to call those

EDIT: and it takes EXTREME coordination just to pick the first note of ttfaf then bring it up to the keys before you have to hit the orange note. all on slow

I wouldn't play with two hands, it takes a lot of practice, while you'll probably won't use it that much. Try to improve that one hand, it works after a while ^.-

Good luck!

You can easily cover 2 frets with your index finger all times but when those 2 frets alternate very fast. In that case, move your hand a key to the right (or left).
Keep trying no matter how annoying! ;]

What keys are you using anyway? I'm doing the same thing on my laptop...
