Of course everyone knows that GH is better than FoF. But with the right mods and songs, the possiblilities are endless. For example, with a REALLY good GHIII mod and all GHII imported songs...it's almost hard to tell which one is which. Now, I know some people who think FoF sucks. They are people who spend 3 days puting one song on FoF.... What do you think?

This thread is full of Fail and Flame.
And in my opinion Gh isnt better than FOF. GH is very limited, where as FOF isnt, its very expandable, what with the ability to change the graphics, the gmaeplay, even what songs we use is completely customizable. So id say FOF is miles better than GH.
So that would be you then, seeing as this was your opening line...Now, I know some people who think FoF sucks.
Your really not getting off to a good start saying something like that..Of course everyone knows that GH is better than FoF.

A reminder that FoF wouldn't exist without the custom GH scene. The graphics and songs in GH were customizable long before FoF even existed.

i dont think fof was released too long after gh1, like just a few months. so really, gh wasn't even released long before fof existed. fof is a clone of gh, not inspired by custom gh

That is incorrect. The initial public version was 1.0.184 released in the beginning August of 2006.
GH1 was released in Nov 2005.
The first minor success of changing a GH track was at the end of August 2006
The first major replacements were actually of the GH2 demo discs
So when FoF was developed and released there wasn't a custom GH scene yet. At the time scorehero was mostly about keeping track of scores. But at the time decoding the disc was what was being worked on.
So I don't think it's a correct statement to say that FoF wouldn't exist without the custom GH scene.

and plus, have you tried modding gh2? its such a long and time consuming process. not to mention going thru the trouble of modding your ps2 (IMO its even more of a hassle to softmod) so FoF takes the cake for my vote. I have gh2 for ps2 and 3 for wii and i dont even touch them anymore ever since i found FoF.

Swapmagic, broheim. Once you get the process of prepping the disc it isn't that complicated.
most importantly you get it your songs in the perfect GH2 engine.

I think we're a long way from calling any game engine perfect. They've ALL got bugs, ranging from the unnoticable, to the game-killers. Lucky for us, the game-killer bugs are mostly fixed up. =p
And personally, I prefer the moddability of FoF to that of GH2's.

Only if you are careless. And if you do it right, there's no bugs. I'd say its worth it to play on an engine that isn't mushy like Frets on Fire or GZ2.
