So, I was going through my songs replaying every single one. I finished "American Idiot" by Green Day with a nice 100%, and scored 94820 points.
Thing is, when my high scores came up, I held the first place with 121611 points. Now i'd call hax, but I'm quite sure I never cheated. Anyone with similar experience?
I either used bare fof versions or rfmod, nothing else.
Built-in score cheat in some old FoF version? - Strange things in my high scores

It is possible to get 100% even if your multiplier has been reset a couple of times. If you didnt miss a note but "over-strummed" it (like strumming 2 times for the same note) your multiplier goes back to x1 but the hit is still registered so at the end you get 100%.
It happens in every version of FretsOnFire and in GH games too

Yeah, it's probably this.
That's how I got more points with 99% on Freebird than 100%.
I held every note as long as possible on the 94820 shred (and probably the on the 121611, too). What you guys suggest is that my skills diminish with time rather than improving. ;]
I'm playing through all my songs for Divra's charts now and since my first post I found a couple of other songs with strange top scores. These are all quite simple songs I've not been playing for a year are so, having 100% on each one. Now I finish them perfectly and score 10-30% lower. It has to be something with the FoF/RFmod version I used when scoring the first time.

Keep trying no matter how annoying! ;]

There was some scoring differences before that are not true today with RF-mod. Most specifically around the 2 note chords (you used to get more points which you were not supposed to get). That had been corrected.
I'm not sure if there were any other things that could have changed stuff. I did a number of comparisons with different options to see if it affected scores (other mods too).
Things that might have (like disabling vbpm, and boardspeed, and stuff) do not seem to affect the total possible score.
But the keystyle, board speed, vbpm, difficulty based speeds, and increased margins can keep you from sucking as much.
