I've searched and experimented, but I can't find out how to use starpower and killswitch. At the moment I'd like to try starpower. I've played other guitar games, you just hit the star notes, the star meter fills up, and when it's halfway charged, you hit the control, and you have starpower. However, when I try I Love Rock And Roll by Joan Jett, I hit some star notes at the very beginning of the song, the first bulb of the star meter lights up, and then nothing. There are no more star notes, so how do I charge the meter? And how do I active starpower? Do I have to enable it somewhere? I've looked in the settings, but I can't find anything except the key setting.
The settings to set a key to star power are under Key Settings. You just set a key to activate it. On my setup, it is just by tilting the guitar controller. Same for whammy/killswitch, you set a key to that function, and likewise, for me I use the whammy bar.
I'm not positive, but every time I have been able to activate star power, it wasn't ready to activate until after two complete star power runs, so yeah. One run of star power notes isn't enough to fill your bar to a usable point.
After I get home from class I'll try it on my install with I Love Rock and Roll and see what happens for me. You are doing it in the guitar hero version, correct?

Thanks for the response, it's very helpful. I'm comparing starpower with Guitar Hero, but with Guitar Zero, and Guitar Star (Guitar Zero 2) as well. However, I've only been experimenting with FoF UC 2.0 with I Love Rock And Roll. Maybe it's the version I'm using, I'll see if I can find another version and check if that one has more star notes. I've no idea where star notes come from, are they coded into the song itself? Or can different programs show more or less star notes with the same song? If they are coded into the song, it seems odd that UC only shows a dozen or so at the very beginning of ILRnR, and none after that. I'll try more songs and versions anyway.
Is there something wrong with Edit song? I wondered what it would look like, but when I selected this option, it dropped me back to the desktop without message. Unmodded FoF 1.2 works fine.

Credits don't work either, when I select the option I get the error Not found songs/Frets On Fire/defy. This is actually correct, because the path to the song Defy The Machine is songs/defy. If I create the path songs/Frets On Fire/defy, and copy the song files to the new folder, credits work.

You should post a download for it or something.
Do it quick xD

there's like 5 crowd sounds in that folder,i used the "crwod 5",remember to convert to WAV(they're OGG files),in order to work replacing the old STARPOWER.WAV
i think is a lot better than the "random"(not rly) crowd sounds in others mods
