Good keyboards and setups - What's a good keyboard/setup for FoF?

Right now I have a keyboard which only supports pressing two of the "F" keys at the same time. I was wondering if anyone had good luck with a keyboard that's let them press all of the "F" keys (or, at least, F1-F5) at the same time, in addition to pressing something else for the pick.

Also, what key setup are people using? I'm currently using F1-F5 for the frets, and the "+" on the numpad for a pick (the shift and enter keys just felt too close to the "F" keys).

My plan is to find a good keyboard that supports pressing all the buttons I need at once, then just tack on a shoulder strap.

Tried 1-5 and Right Shift last night, and really like that setup. Can press up to four at once plus pick on my keyboard. Now I just need a shoulder strap!

f1-f5 and the downarrow(dosent register f3 f5 and enter at the same time)

Actually, I have found §1234 to be the best keys to play on, together with return/right shift.
1-5 is problematic due to the leftover space next to "1" and F1-F5 due to the gap between F4 and F5 on most keyboards.

I use f1-f5 and enter until I get a GH controller. I can do just about any combo except 123 and 234.

i actually have been playing mine like a cello or stand-up bass.

Standard button mapping, but instead of holding it like a guitar i hold it almost straight up. I use my index finger to "pluck" my enter key.

I do that sometimes lol. I put my chin on it too lol. I don't always do it, just randomly mid game lol.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and then 7 and 8 on the number pad to pluck up and down (I also play with the board more upright and use middle or index fingers, as thumb to press rather than strum is just wrong) and I dont get any problems with clashing configurations (as I did with the F keys)

i use f1-f5 and page up its easy when you use the keyboard as a guitar

The problem with using page up or page down for strumming (as I found out) is that it plays hell in the editor, cause you end up placing a note and changin difficulty at the same time. Blagged my head for long enough before it dawned on me what was going on, lol

I use some vivanco keyboard and it's the perfect keyboard to play with.

All I can say is that the MS multimedia keyboard isn't the greatest thing to play on. There's a gap between F3 and F4 and a whole lot of fiddly buttons above the F keys, hand cramps like all buggery when I play, but I can't stop =D

But yeah using the F keys, and can't play some chords. Fifth fret can be a bit of a pain as well, but such is life...

Although it's probably closer to cheating than reality, I use A,S,D,F and space for frets, Shift and Enter for picking. That way each finger has easy access to notes and it's easier to hit combos. Still it would be sweet to have some kind of HO/PO system though for solos.
