Oh, there's something else I'm wondering -- If the modmaker decides to add in starpower -- Is there anyway to easily remove it or something? I'm not a particularly big fan of starpower, I think it's really unnecessary actually :p I'd rather play for accuracy and stuff.

If you're not a fan of starpower, just don't activate it right? :p

**** yeah! i can't wait for automatically placed SP paths, but at the same time, i don't want that to make the gameplay slower. if it does i will not update. :p
blah blah blah...

Well, the thing is -- If it's there -- you'll obviously use it. I was wondering if there were gonna be two versions: one *with* starpower, and one without it (like the version we have now).

My biggest gripe with starpower is that lots of people use it to save themselves from failing a solo -- I prefer to just nail the solo instead. Oh well, I guess using star power like that is a legit tactic anyways? Hm.

In GH it's just used to max your scores, in FoF jurgen power is used to max your rockmeter.

Now I don't want automatic starpower path's, but just the starpower you can activate yourself when you've got enough gathered.

And I also don't see why you should want a seperate one without starpower.
If you're against it why would you be tempted to use it?
I mean, I've got Worldrave's GH3 mod and it has starpower, but I almost never use it.

as long as it does not alter scores (i have no problem with that i just know some of them will be pissed off at it) it's fine, i just want it to LOOK like star power (6x, 8x,( if these are of some use and alter your score in any way, my bad) lightning neck edges, etc.)

Well, the point of playing FoF is to get high scores (and have fun, of course), right? So, if I decide not to use starpower and some other guy *does* -- Won't that make it a bit unfair? Seperate mods with/without starpower would be nice -- But, if it's a hassle, then it's not really necessary.

Otherwise, speaking of 'failing' -- Is there anyway to spice up the stuff that pops up when you fail? Right now, it's just some pretty unnoticable text and when you fail you pretty much just instantly click the "try again?" button by accident since you were still playing.

How about removing the fretboard and showing "Song Failed" or "You Failed!" for about 3 seconds and then having the "give up", "try again" and "main menu" options show up? Personally, I think having the failure/rock meter thing is awesome >.<

ok... I will add starPower, and it will effect score. I know that a lot of people are against it. but I feel that it adds a lot to the strategy of the game, trying to use your starpower effectively for points without failing.

as for the failing text. I have every intention of changing it I just coded that really fast before I uploaded the mod...

I updated my hybrid patch again!

Changelog:
- Improved gameplay background.
- Improved main menu, neck and song & difficulty selection screens and the final score background.
- Improved scorebox, sidebars, multiplier lights and strings.
- Quieter main menu BG music.
- Improved Options menu BG.
- Improved 'note streak' counter.
- Improved necks/fret boards.

It might not seem like much, but I'm a really picky person -- So I like everything to be perfect. :D Oh, I also included some other people's stuff in the rar (new notes, etc.).

Some screenies:

How about make a choice to turn off Star Power points like the 1.1 version and for the SP paths I like the idea of it being automatically arranged.
