I was just thinking how amazing this would be if there was a multiplayer option.
So, do you think it will ever happen? It would be amazing with wireless keyboards, like the logitech one that I am using now. I'd love to get some friends round and try it.
Multiplayer? - Will it ever be?

Just posting my thoughts on multiplayer. I think it's kinda lame to post these "I cant make it myself, but perhaps someone could do it for me" - thoughts.. but I cant make it myself
.
Anyways, multiplayer would indeed be awesome. Although simultanious playing like in GH2 or Donkey Conga would be great, but due to lag issues I dont think this would be possible in FoF.
What would be possible though, is a simple round based competition, where every player has to try a song on a certain difficulty and the best one wins. A simple chat function could be added so the players not rocking out could chat and comment on the one wailing his keyboard.
I dont know how hard it is to stream the music and played frets accordingly to the other players, but the rest shouldnt be that difficult to implement (for those with proper programming skills, unlike me). And it would sure be a lot more fun than playing songs and posting the scores to my opponents on IRC and MSN.

split screen would be awful could you imaging how small each neck and the notes would have to be to get 2 lots on the screen at once , it would look crap , yeah it would be fun to play against others but at the sacrifice of not being able to see a damn thing on the screen, coz its all too small, no way!,
just standard lan play or over internet, but not split screen urrgh!

maybe it's possible to change the neck / note sizes for split screen, but i have no knowledge of code, and so i don't know. And my response to "lag issues" is this: just because some people have lag issues doesn't mean everyone does, so just because some people wouldn't be able to effectively use it doesn't mean you should ignore those who could use split screen multiplayer.

Yeah thats all well and good , if your one of the lucky people that has duel output, a massive plasma TV or a widescreen monitor, but out of the thousands of people who play FoF , the vast majority dont have that privalige. So you cant really go making a mod this popular for just a small select group of people, i think the only way it could be done realistically is, you get the choice of say... 3 types of Co-Op play, 2players-1computer=split screen ( it would have to be really+ that would still work on duel screen) 2 play-over lan = single screen, 2 play-over internet= single screen , but on the single screen ones, show the other persons score next to,above, below your score as your playing so if you suddenly get ahead of him you would know he messed up and vice versa.
Btw Negative Creep. i have my standard 19" monitor in 1280x1024 res and when im stood only a couple of feet away playing FoF the notes on the screen are about as big as a little fingernail, then squashing that into a screen twice is gonna be REALLY small.
