When you say you cant hear it, do you mean the music cuts out when you miss notes?
If thats the case thats normal both Frets on fire AND all the GH games do this! GH songs and User created songs are different. User created songs are made from 1 audio track, where as GH songs are made from 3 or 4 diffrent audio tracks.
The GH songs are made up of a backing track ( singing and drums) a main guitar track ( the one you play) a bass guitar track and possible a lead/rhythm guitar track. When you miss notes it will mute the guitar track, but you can still hear the backing track and the other guitar tracks still playing. NOW.. in a user created song, we only have 1 audio track to work with ( the mp3 we started with)
Now when you miss notes it will again mute out the audio track, but the problem is we dont have a backing track to keep playing in the background so when you miss it has nothing to play.
there is a way around this. You can copy your guitar.ogg ( the audio file) and rename the copy to song.ogg. Now go into the game and go to your audio settings. Check things like your miss volume make sure it isnt set on 0. Also there are volume controls for the noises the guitar makes when you screw up a note ( the bad fret noise) so make sure there not set on 0 either.
That should sort out your problem with the audio
Now what problem are you having with the GHmod? why isnt it working, what did you do to try and get it into the game.
