Guitar Hero not fun anymore?

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm just not enjoying GH anymore. I just can't have any fun! I've pretty much done it all and the stuff I can't do isn't any fun to try. Even online play has lost it's appeal because the only people I play either destroy me, cheat, or quit when I start winning. It's totally lame. I don't think I'll be playing anymore for a while...

Yeah.. once you've done it all, there probably isn't much fun in it. Time to trade in your GH stuff and go for rockband.

If it's the plain Guitar Hero, then get Guitar Hero 2 or 3. The 80's only has about 20-30 songs, if that. There's no bonus tracks, and there are even less characters than in GH2. Get Rock Band if you have a Wii, XBOX 360, or PS3 (I'm not sure if it's available for XBOX). Or start Halo. Or... Use a Guitar Hero/PS2 controller for Frets on Fire and add a failing mod. Then it'll be just like Guitar Hero but with any song you'd like.

Guitar Hero MUST get boring after a while!
I mean, I have fretsonfire and its unlimited customization potential and get bored with it every once in a while.

There are parts of GH3 that ain't really fun *coughslayercough*, but otherwise I like it, bar the fact that my Striker's receiver cuts out when I play REALLY fast, and I'm now so used to the Striker's stiffer whammy that my G1 SG feels like a waste of time to me...

And to whoever suggests I get RB, well, I'm gonna have to wait a while... 1: I need more cash (Ã‚Â£126.40 is a good start, but not enough... I don't think), and 2: It's not out 'til about March anyway (Aw maaan...)

Yeah, haven't touched FOF in a long time...
(nice that we are still here though)

I'll pop in GH2 or 3 on the 360 just to play a handful of songs on quickplay, but would never go through a whole career again.

now that i got GH2 and already beat, i'm starting to feel similar. the whole concept is sorta getting old despite how fun it used to be. regardless, i'm going to at least try to five star most everything in GH2 and then think about putting it down. i still really love the series and the concept its just i dunno... i really enjoy it though so yeah. it might just be time to put it down for a while. old habits die hard anyhow. :p

edit: honestly, i think rock band looks stupid as hell. aside from the drums.

Rock band is O.K...The only thing that really stinks is that if you create a band with a few people, and let's say you all start out on medium difficulty...At some point they MAKE you move up to "Hard" to advance...You have to gain fans in order to unlock certain things...You can still play shows, but you will not get any fans(which you really need) Once you reached the maximum fans for the difficulty you started on, you have to higher the difficulty...Which really stinks, if your not great....So once all three members(or four) get to hard, and reached the maximum fans you can get...Say hello to Expert...I mean you can still have 2 people on hard (or three), and the other on expert.. But eventually all will have to be on expert...YAY

no offense but i don't see who would. the only reason i played career, (which lasted a whole under 24 hours) was to unlock everything. which i did almost. got all songs, guitars, characters, and finishes.

mwhahahahaha i got lucky christ mas considering i already have a wii i got a ps3 a 360 rockband bundle (360) guitar hero 3 (ps2 and ps3)

Well oh yea, well FINE. All i got is an acoustic guitar if that counts. But atleast rockband pwns. I got my other 2 guitar and mic buds. I'm drumma!

you should get an electric one with an amp.

Seriously, you'll be addicted to it for days, then it'll get boring....then you'll get back to it after hearing a new song by Velvet Revolver or some other band with a guitar god in it, then it;d get boring again...that same process goes on and on
