So I haven't played FoF in a while. I stopped around the time Rockband came out. But before that I had downloaded all the GH3 songs, added them to my FoF songs folder and played them all alot.
But now, when I load up FoF, it doesn't see any of the GH3 songs. It plays all the rest just fine. But it absolutely will not see the new ones. It doesn't show them in the songlist at all. I've checked the directory to make sure they were still there, and they are of course. All of them.
So....any idea why this would happen, and how I can fix it?
Guitar Hero 3 songs not recognized anymore?? - It used to work fine

he has just said , it used to work fine so what version he is running shouldnt make a difference.
@ Vhayne, sorry i have never heard of it doing that before. If it worked fine before, then you just left it alone for a while then came back, there should be no reason why it wouldnt work. You deffinatly didnt change anything in Frets? or anything else on your computer, im just thinking it may have caused the game to lose the link between the game and the GH3 song folder. TRY moving the GH3 songs folder out of the FoF folder, start up FoF so it can see all the songs that should be there. then close FoF, then move back all the GH3 songs ( essencially like adding all the songs for the first time ) then restart the game and see if it has spotted them. it may be a long shot but as i said unless you have actually changed something, there is no reason why it should suddenly stop working in the first place.

Yeah it's a weird one. All of my songs, including all the guitar hero songs from all 4 versions, are in the root "song" directory. I don't have them in sub-folders.
As for FoF version, I'm not sure which one i'm using, but I JUST downloaded the newest version (upgrade), last night, after running into this issue. Still no change.
I'll try moving the songs to save them, and try deleting FoF and reinstalling with another version tonight, and see if that helps.

best version i can recommend is RFMod 4 As it is V1.2.451 of Frets and has the RFmod built into it, so that will sort out a few memory issues and give you things like multi player support

Well, I deleted my old versions, and installed this one. Still no change. The GH3 songs are still not recognized (although they are there in the directory, just like the rest).
But now, it appears I'm going to need yet another version of FoF, as the version you suggested is really screwed up. Oh, it runs super smooth and quick.....but it absolutely does not register hits. Score remains zero, multiplier never ticks up, and it doesn't register misses. To me, this is unacceptable, as it's completely broken.
Thanks for the recommendation, but it looks like i'm going to have to find another version, and possibly re-download ALL the guitar hero songs again from scratch.
