Couldn't you just create an empty note.dae mod and turn it on only for the songs you know? Or, would this not work?

but yeah I think making blank note.dae or an increadibly small note.dae would work

I was fooling around with the sources a while ago and removed the note and tail rendering, but that made it hard :p
