Hitflames & Hitglows
Download Here
Image

Tested with FretsOnFire-1.1.324/RF_MOD 3.5/Capo's MOD(aka C-MOD.)
Also tested on FOF1.2RF4.11(which has parts of Capo's MOD included.)
For this MOD to work you will have to have Capo's MOD(C-MOD) installed.

TO GET IT TO WORK:
1) Place Hitflames & Hitglows file(the "Hitflames & Hitglows" folder with all its contents) in FOF mods folder(located in the FOF data folder.)
2) Start FOF.
3) From the main menu; Settings>Game Settings>Mod Settings>Hitflames & Hitglows: set to on>Apply settings.
4) Play game and enjoy.
----------------------------------------------------

File includes:

*Blank hitflames1, hitflames2, hitglow, and hitglow2 SVGs.
*12 hitflames1 PNGs.
*12 hitflames2 PNGs.
*5 hitglow PNGs.
*5 hitglow2 PNGs.
*ALT HF & HG folder for storing extra PNG(s.)
*Read me.
---------------------------------------

Much thanks to Capo on this one! As with out his MOD, none of this would work.
Thanks to Dan1lo, for helping me flush out the read me. And for looking the MOD over.
======================================

Enjoy,
Rex

it would be interesting to discuss some of the hitflame features with capo...

maybe review capo's mod because there are some minor glitches...

thanks for creating this mod man =]

great job, RexMundi. Very nice Image

one question: Do you have good colours for the flames? I tried a lot of, but they´re all to transparent, to bright, to weak etc. It´s very hard to find good colours, i think (but that´s a problem with every flames etc - not only your).

@Miccovin: try getting flames that fit your backgroud/style

if you're a metal guy, try dark colors

if you have a bright background, try bright colors :p

Your welcome guys! Would of like to responded sooner with more options. I have been under the weather and not much up for doing anything. But as I am beginning to feel better, hopefully I can have some more options by the end of the month.

Color is a bit tricky. With non-progressive flame I believe the default color is a yellowish orange? And like with the glow.pngs white shows brightest, black is transparent and shades of grey fitting between. The only colors I have experimented with so far are yellow and red. I will try more with the next batch.

With progressive flames the yellow and red had a tendency to wash out the progressive effect. So I'm not sure if there is much I can do with color here?

If your problem is in general the flames being hard to see? It is most likely as Dan1lo suggests(your background is to bright.) Try a darker one. Or use a darker neck. I myself usually play with a black background and my beat necks(as in the screenshot in post 1 shows.) And the flames show very well then. But when I have used brighter backgrounds or necks the flames didn't show as well.
