Whammy bar is attached where the strings end at the rear of the guitar. It is a lever that causes the strings to lose some of their tension, thereby changing the pitch.
I would LOVE to see this added to the game!

Sorry, just joined the forum after downloading FoF.
I'm missing the trem from GH, but found that when using the enter key for strumming in FoF, my little finger falls naturally to the "up arrow" key. Maybe the trem could be keyed to this and set to a constant depth, but the speed depends on how fast the key is hit.
I don't know how the scoring works in GH, ie, if fast and deep scores more than slow and shallow or if you score for tasteful use.
Willy.

As far as I know, use of the whammy bar in GH does not directly increase your score; in specified sections, the whammy bar will give you star power which can then double your multiplier. As FoF has not implemented the concept of Star Power, the addition of the whammy bar wouldn't affect scores (and might make them worse as you'd have another button/joystick/whatever to pound at).
I'm using a SmartJoy PS2-USB adapter and it does NOT pick up the whammy bar from the GH controller, which, to say the least, is bad, especially if the whammy bar ever does gain the power to boost scores.

Do it for the state; don't procreate.

If this feature is implemented, can I please request that it does not require an analog input only and that it also supports a simple on off switch (ie the longer you hold it down the more it changes the pitch up then on release it starts to return the pitch to normal). I know this won't be as good or responsive as a pure analog control but it would come in handy for those that either still continue to use the keyboard or have already constructed a toy guitar :;): that doesn't have analog controls.
Cheers
