Let's have extended sustains and open notes!

If you like the idea, help me and vote the issue here.
It seems about to be started working on, but needs a little more support, so I invite you to comment and vote the issue.

Why?

• Well, because it would be fun.
• I don't know why but extended sustains have always been a pleasure for me to play.
• RB doesn't have extended sustains or open bass notes
• Open notes make bass look more challenging and make it look different form guitar.
• Extended sustains help slow-strummed chords look more realistic (Like in Hotel California, Freebird, Knights of cydonia... I could go on).
• Believe it or not, open bass notes are not THAT easy to play, they behave like an extra fret and so, they increase difficulty.

Hope this is not taken as spam, I'm just inviting people to encourage an issue, if this is not the apprpriate forum for that, It wold be nice from a mod to put it where it belongs.

So what? It's an open issue on the tracker, it's certainly a possibility if enough demand is present and coding ever picks up again.

I've never really been a fan of open notes. It just seems like a last minute way to make the bass different. Guitar has open notes too, but they don't have open notes charted. There's probably other ways to make bass more enjoyable.

If you are not proposing anything new, then you should stick to what we have, or don´t do anything at all.

He's just looking to get support on an issue in the hopes that if development picks up again, that he may see a feature he really wants.

@OP, I've had that issue starred myself for quite sometime, though you should be aware, Development of FoFiX has slowed dramatically as of late. It will undoubtedly pick up again in the future, but there is no certainty as to when.
