Midi charts - Note remover.

Postby Flood1993 » Fri May 08, 2009 7:52 am

Well, I think most people has trouble playing with keyboard specialy in the 3-notes chord, so, I think it would be a great idea if someone could make a program that explores the song and you can set, for example, (in the case you can't play green+red+yellow chords) to transform all green+red+yellow chords to another chord you can play, or to a 2 notes chord.

What do you think about that?, or there is something similar that I havent found?

Actually it's quite a sound idea except for the midi alteration. Some way to tell the game which kinds of chords you can't do, and make it show those chords as 2 note chords.

I don't use it as my keyboard allows them, but if I remember correctly you have to press the two outside notes of a three-note chord for it to work when the cheat is on right?

I don't think transforming the midi is a good idea, but upgrading on that cheat would work well, as for now it is the best way to go for keyboards that cannot play a chord containing more than two notes at once.

My take on this is to, when the cheat is activated, all notes in a chord with three notes (or higher) that are in-between the two outer notes will be made invisible (Not removed). It is pretty confusing if you are playing with the cheat and you see three notes but you have to press only the outer two.

You got it. I like your idea of this cheat changing the display of 3+ fret chords to only appear as 2 fret chords.

I know that, but some do prefer to play the full chords whereever they can.

Just what I was trying to say, combine that with chords not being marked as 2 note chords if the player has specified them not to be and we have a better working 2 note chord in general.
