PreformanceMode

Postby fofgh3 » Fri Dec 05, 2008 5:56 pm

Don't you think it would be cool to add preformance mode in FOFix?

For those of you who dont know what it is, it's a cheat in GH3 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=l2_B2OZbt2g

I guess it would be cool, but nothing's stopping you from just not looking at the screen while you play. Unless there were separate highscores for Perf Mode.

Memes are so funny hahaha I'm splitting with laughter I can't control this laughter at this meme which uses a word incorrectly oh hahaha

:glare:

That was EPIC.

My songs. All made in EOF, beat-synced and note-synced, not very many missed notes.

Playing Guitar Hero/Frets on Fire/Rock Band is 1 thing.

BUT, to learn the note charts to a song.

It's just pathetic...... and no one should be congratulated for it.....

Seconded, did you notice how accurate the fingers actually moved in the video?

Also yeah it's retty pathetic learning a song like this, as previously mentioned.
But to the point. it shouldn't be very hard to hack together..
Just make all the graphics for the scene rendering fully transperant and make a new theme (assuming you're using fofix of course) with those hacked together images. The amin problem would then be text rendering, I wouldn't know how to tackle that..

But in any case, if you really want this functionallity you'll be hacking together your own "invisible" theme, if others likes this too I guess that itcould be coded for real, it would probably result in a little bit decreased lag not having to render any graphics.

you know, if we just downloaded a bunch of youtube videos with performance mode, made them into mutiple pngs, resized and rename them, we could have some good animated backgrounds!

But imagine how large those would be. GB+ for a minute of "video"? Thousands of files?
Of course these are just wild guesses based on the GH:M animated stages I have.

Bagh, too much work. Just set it so if perfmode == True then the camera target and origin will be set off screen. It would still render the notes and everything so it will run at the same speed instead of super fast but the board will be positioned so you couldn't see it. I've done it before but I don't like the feature too much, it's like "oh look at me, I pased this song w/o looking!!!11!!!!one I'm so c0ol!"

+1

Without the fretboard and text, FoFiX's gameplay screen is about as exciting.

The you'd get some idiot not knowing that they're pointing out what frets should be hit and they'd be singing it and have their mouth spazing whenever they'd hit a 2 note chord.
