
Animated "you rock" and animated loading - It would be awsome

It's possible, no doubt. But would someone really want longer start-up time for this? If not, we could always put an option in the settings bar to set animated loading or not

Loading really differs per song and computer, I'd say just animate the loader but no longer time, as it basically is just to polish up the loading screen and no more. Don't forget that people want to play the song and not watch the loading screen. I'm sure many people like a longer loading time, but it'd get quite boring after a while, unless you'd go with multiple randomly chosen animated loading screens but even that would get boring eventally. I'd say just animate it and be done with it.
For the 'you rock' thing I still stick to the idea of dynamically resizing it, no animated png required for that, just a little more code.

When you look at the hitflames and star notes you can't really do that for loading screens. You should look at how the stages are done for animation, this way you can have a loading screen with as little as 3 frames to something as large as 50. This way you aren't forced to make the animated loading pic 10 (or whatever number was decided) frames long.
