Tappable Notes - Impossible to pick?

Same problem her:

FoF 1.2.451 / Guitar Hero 1 guitar

when missing one tappable note of a fast sequence of notes - I can't hit another note in that sequence.

It looks like there is some sort of miss penalty when missing a tappable note. Maybe that has something to do with picking that note an trying to play another note immediately after that.
So it happened to me that I was unable to play a 2 key chord after I missed a tappable note. I really tried hard about 8 times in that song (I do not remember) - a friend of mine tried too - and didn't hit that chord neither.

Although FoF plays fine (and no - I don't want rf mod) this problem makes some songs no fun to play.

You're right, it's a real problem, I think it comes from the thing they put in the code to actually let you strum on hopos...but it will mess when the notes are really close together...the only thing I was able to do was to remove some part of the code...so now I can't really strum on tappable notes but I can tap without strumming before...it's not very clear explained this way but say, you miss a note in a long hopo chain, you just have to continue to tap and it works. if you want to try you can get my GHmod
However, this also modifies the tapping system a bit, like it won't put tappable notes after long notes

Thanks for that offer.

Actually I like to stay with the current unmodified version. But maybe you can offer your fix to the FoF project.

My intention is only to confirm that problem and show that someone cares so an dev is willing to fix it.
The fact that there are so many people using rfmod may cause the problem to be ignored or overlooked.

well, if you look at the unreal voodoo website...you'll see that most chances are there is no more dev team. maybe I'm wrong

I had the same problem. When you miss that note, you just want to strum a tappable note to make them work again.

BUT, thats annoying, so I downloaded raph's GH mod.
This mod completed fixed that problem.

I have the same exact problem. Really a bummer with the Solo on "Free Bird",

once you screw up it won't let you back on.

I totaly get why he doesn't want to downgrade! I mean, the new version has its advantages.

I always have the 2 versions on my laptop so that I can switch from one to the other from time to time.

so...I was wondering, will this be fixed in RF4.0?

What version I'm using isn't the topic here. Nor should it be. I'm not looking for an immediate fix; it's a very minor bug. I'm just posting it in hopes that it can be fixed for the next version.

It WILL get fixed.

i can see his standpoint and even i had my little gripe about switching... but the rf mod owns, and the only thing that even comes close is raph's EXCELLENT guitar hero mod. and trust me, i won't be the only one happy to see it being fixed. and i second the freebird thing.. i dread that solo because if i miss one little note i can't get back... if not for that i could get 5 stars on amazing.

Jordan44053 is perfectly right..same problems it gives to me...
im 100% sure im gonna hit a note between a sequence and it fails...
thats a bug not my skill which is low...

RF-Mod is cool, but it changes where all the bloody Tappable Notes/HOPO's are. :( And in songs like TTFATF it makes some parts impossible to hit since you've gotta strum where there should be HOPOS. x_X How can I get the original Tappable Notes/HOPO's back but keep the rest of RF-mod?

Any help would be muchly appreciated. :D

yeah they need to fix the HOs/POs....I almost got carpel tunnel from playing Velvet Revolver's Slither on Supaeasy lol by having to tap and strum so much. (I'm overexaggerating a bit but still, they need to fix the HOs/POs if possible)
