"Someone" is not a three letter word.

One, moron. You used 1 in the place of one, a three letter word that really isn't that hard to spell if you use a fraction of your mind. Are you finished yet? In case you haven't noticed yet, the topic as about a plan for FoF Face-Off mode.

I did not address it as a typo did I? I wanted to state that you should spell well (hey, that rhymes!) because... because I find text talking stupid and should be restricted to texting only.

My suggestion is to close this thread and start a new one where posting must be on topic. I find arguing about typos and whatever in almost every good topic and it ruins the discussion. I dont have the strength to read through a 20 page thread were posts like above dominates the content. And my goal here isn't to start a discussion whether Im right or wrong, I'm merely trying to prevent this flamewar or whatever its called to go any further. So please dont reply to this message, you can pm me if you really find it necessary to say something.

I think the multiplayer idea is great and I really want it to become reality, so my fingers are crossed.

This gotta be a feature in Hering mod 2, when I rewrite the failing system I can put this in while doing it. It probably won't be too hard.

No, that is not a typo. I did that on purpose. Which means it's not a mistake. Which means:

ridiculously large annoying picture removed

I would just hit the ignore button, but since you said that, I want to clarify:

It is not correct to type something wrong, even if it's on purpose. It won't help you anywhere, not even here. You aren't excluded from the English language, so stop thinking you are. Even if this is a forum, you can't just say that it's not a typo. I see it wrong, it's wrong. I saw sum1 not someone, so it's wrong. And don't even tell me it's not after all the ridiculous posts about typos...

Now go post somewhere else because you haven't posted anything relating to this topic, except that maybe I should PM hering. I haven't had a problem with you until now, so YOU FAIL.

WOOT! Sounds great hering! I explained how the coding part could be done, just vaguely. You get that part right? Maybe you have another way to do it?

My suggestion is to close this thread and start a new one where posting must be on topic.

Nah, it's OK because it isn't a long thread (like hering's thread :D) and I didn't plan for it to be a long on-going thread.

I'm learning some Python, so I could do the rock meter stuff I think, but since Hering is considering it, I'll wait then. :)

Isn't it based on points?

So you do player 1 points - player 2 points
Positive value means player 1 owns, negative player 2

The result is divided by the average of both players points, so you get a % value of how much a player is ahead.
Maybe flatten is out for low score values, so the meter isn't jumping around like wild.

A certain percantage ahead (e.g. 15%) will mean the meter is completely on your side.

Isn't the rock meter based on values? Like from 0 to 1000?

That's the same thing with bigger numbers, let's not complicate things.

Yeah the rock meter has 0 through 1000, and using player 2 hit -> -rock meter, player 1 hits -> + rock meter would work, but then you might end up with one player winning and the other one having a higher score.

Jurgen Power might turn the enemies fretboard viewing angle :)

O_O

MUAHAHAHA!!! My brother is so screwed if you implement that! :D

Also, the higher score part, isn't that supposed to happen? I mean if you are whooping some ass then the score should be different.
