an official version would be nice... - there should be one version basically

What would you like to see added or fixed in FOF?

Dont get me wrong, this is a great game, but i see the biggest downfall as too many different mods/versions.

The whole some mods are for this version and others are for that version just makes everything complicated and confusing. There should just be updates and fixes and one version that just keeps upgrading, and then the mods gets updated as well. Not 20 versions of the same game with 500 different mods.

TBH, MFH is that "one version", seeing that it's been updated so much, and whenever someone wants to add a new feature, they don't even think about which mod to add it to: they add it to MFH without question.

Spoiler:

That was EPIC.

My songs. All made in EOF, beat-synced and note-synced, not very many missed notes.

It's more like All the features of Hering and some of the "original" features of Alarian IE Stuff that's not from Guitar Hero or Rock Band.

Although I'm not sure if it will have 2D notes and keys.

I'm not really worried about 2D notes and keys because I still use a lot of original 3D ones in MFH. It's cool that his aim is for originality rather than cloning.

I +1 Marvin and I'd like to say that, when you play an open source game on the net, it's always what is happening.

Take Counter Strike... OK it's not free, but the developers have enabled players to use and modify the source code, and what happened? A lot of differents mods, each one funniers than the previous one.

Same goes for Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory, but this one is totally free (and IMO better than CS ^^), it's open source and a lot of mods have grown from nowhere.

nooooo you guys are getting me all wrong
i had a feelings this would happen -.-

look
lets say i have the 1.1238432124 version, i cant use any mods with that version so i have to install version 1.32134241234214
but guess what? theres another mod that i cant use unless i have a version 1.27516432 , THATS what i mean.
if i want a mod (because you have to admit the original game circles are ehh at times when trying to play), and i want a specific mod i would have to reinstall the game a couple of times because some mods are not compatible with some game versions.
THATS the annoying part.

1.3 will have downgrade compatibilities, as Rogue_F said.

I see what you mean and I kinda agree with you. I also like that you can cuztomize how it looks and feels, and all different mods and stuff, but yeah, it's gone too far: hundreds of mods that all require different FOF versions. Plus, there's one more thing I don't understand: why did they name FOF difficulty levels different than GH or RB? It caused a lot of confusion. Right now, it's not really bothering me since I'm stuck with Alarian, but I think it'd be nice if there would be an "official" version (say, MFH-Alarian :) ), and all mods and the themes would be based on it. But I don't think that's gonna happen because not everyone here likes Alarian, so, I guess, we'll have to live with that

I don't see how someone can't enjoy the MFH Mod. It's so customizable that you can't even make it "feel" like the old school RF-Mod if you really wanted to. Add a clean up and perfected HOPO system and you've got yourself one hell of a mod.

Some people prefer RFMod hopo for it's evil no-mashing, but reverse-tapping policy.

I personally dislike the fact that Alarian changed the names of the difficulties, and they even changed it in the source code instead of simply making it cosmetic. But I'm sure there's a good reason for that.

I'm just biding my time until 1.3 comes out. Hopefully it'll have the graphics of 1.2, and the ability to play smoothly on my computer like 1.1. Don't worry, an official version will be here. It's probably taking longer because Rogue_F might be trying to make it compatible with all these new mods that are coming out for Alarian and stuff.
