fof for original xbox?

What would you like to see added or fixed in FOF?

well, is it possible to burn a disc with a built in python decoder? that would simplify the problem greatly

a modded xbox can play iso's. We could most likely plug a xbox controller into the computer via usb, then map the keys with the game. Then burn frets on fire. iso (convert it to iso first) onto a dvd and play it on the xbox

Even if it's in iso format, I'm pretty sure Xbox can't read python...

idk, all i know is that my modded xbox can read .iso. Or you can move the fof folder to your xbox and open it in the internet browser

I doubt the XBox can run Python without the distributables. it natively runs C+ (I think), but I don't know about decompressing the data FOF needs. But it's plausible.

The builds are not actually python themselves (i build XBMC daily, both xbox and PC SDL), but rather include python support, but it's not a complete python set. They already mentioned this in the XS boards about trying this (porting FoF over), but said maybe through using an xbox linux build. (Xubuntu, or xebian, etc.)
However, since the hardware is based on 64megs of ram, and 733Mhz processor, i would think it would be very laggy, since a lot of people with subpar systems and even up are already having lag issues and worse. Using the 8bit theme might be a helpful start, and a lot of optimizing. PS3 would be a better approach through linux, since you can run Ubuntu now on it especially. :)
