Agreed and with most programs, the harder it is to learn usually means it will produce better results. And in my opinion, usig a midi/ Tab File along with fruity loops will get you the best results.

Just a quick question, the guitar pro tab is out of sync with the guitar, but seems relatively synced. Can I do it out of sync and then move the notes backwards?

I think that MIDI file thingy isn't neccessary.
Most of the tabs on ultimate-guitar are good, except for BPM, which is set wrong.

I found the easiest way to make songs with dB is setting the BPM manually (mini software that counts your key clicking) and then fret the song according just to tabs.

You can read the lenght of the notes from tabs easily. Just look at the notes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Note_value

One note is 1/1 in dB, quarter note is 1/4 and thirty-second note is 1/32. It's logical, isn't it? ;)

Can we have a method for 64th notes plz? Seriously, I'm fretting a song that has random 64th notes thrown in. At 140 bpm. Short of throwing anchors in to completely screw with peoples' minds, I can't think of anything that'd let me do that.

Just set other BPM.

If you set 210 - you will have to use 1/48
or 280 - 1/32

Btw. 1/64 song? 1/32 is impossible enough. Of course only if it's more of them, if they are single notes just put it with 1/48 as close as possible. Noone will see the difference of 1/100 note or so.

Yes it's rarely synced... what do you mean by relatively synced? I may understand what you're talking about! :p Well it's the thing that parts can be, lets say GP shows 100bpm/tempo in that song... then parts can be 90 to 110 in that song, wich makes it at the end synced. So same riff can have different tempo. That's why you just place the notes on the line, and then change the tempo so you get it synced...

I think that MIDI file thingy isn't neccessary.

Of course it's not neccessary... :p But I don't wanna look/learn all the things it's required to see and memorize everything from looking in GP...it's not working for me! That's why I came up with this MIDI system with FL, we're you don't really have to memorize anything, just look were they(notes) should be!

That's always a problem! :p You just have to calculate what bpm makes it to a 1/64... Rarely songs has those, but when they come, it's often a little short part, as DragonForce sometimes has! :D

Raven: What insane solo or sick strumming have you found? :p

to answer whoever the hell asked the question.

To get 1/64th notes just use 1/32 notes and double the BPM between the 1/32 note and the next note. 1/64th notes do come up ocassionally (like in Painkiller by Judas Priest)

This method of doubling the BPM can also be used for weird time sigs like 7/8.
