No problem. Once you finished downloading those files and adding them, just read that paragraph that I posted before. That should be the end of your troubles.

it's kinda funny how i thought of a similar way to fret the songs. i tried to use the the note pad version of a song to give me an idea of which notes i had to place where but i have issues with the timing of notes!

it great to see how others do their notes!

so Rock on!
by the way .....
i stayed in a holiday inn express last night!

I always thought that songmaking was dull, and I let the nerds do it and rip em off. I decided that I'd try it on my own with your method, and it's real fun! It's so sweet to see the progress of a song. It's 2 am now, I just kept trying to do it, while I thought I'd go to bad at twelve.

Sure, I'm not even past the first minute (lol), but I already see that I get faster. OK, I'm not sure how to use anchors, and I seem to be unable to copy/paste in dB (lol), and somehow, on my first try, the audio was way to loud, but I already got 47 seconds of fretting!

Puppetz, thanks!

(I didn't really thought you fretters were dull <hides>)

Well the volume button is on V, if the song is too loud! :) you copy paste by Holding SHIFT, and just go upwards on the fretboard, or even faster page up... or until the end "END" button... then just COPY+C, and CTRL+V where you wanna paste it... :) Very simple... :p

Well I can't help you with anchors really...so don't ask me about them! And you think you're fast? After 10 dB songs, I think you'll achieve the "fast status"!?! Oh and I dunno if it's fun, I haven't really had that feeling in a looong time (too familiar to me :p)

I find it's fun when you fret a really hard solo, and then laugh to yourself at the puny humans that are going to try to FC it xD

Yes, I usually wonder how the real guitarist can pull off something like that too.. :p

Well, instead of faster, I should've posted "less slow", I guess ;]

EDIT

w00t I finished my first song! it took me about 80 mins to fret 1 min, but after a solid 5 hours of work I'm done!
It's amazing only, after 4 hours straight I just couldn't make a medium...

Ill let you, as the maker of this tutorial, play it first, so you can determine if you like it or not. If I'm honest, I think it's OK for a first song.

How many people have fretted anything with this? Now I can only list like 4 names. More people should start using this method, it's way more accurate than fretting by ear.

Just started fretting Fields of Despair, 1 minute done. I'm officually addicted.

Just started fretting one song with this technique, thinking it was going to be VERY difficult. But it is a lot easier than I expected, not to mention a hell of a lot more accurate. Expect to see my first real song soon. Thanks Puppetz!
I am now also officially addicted.

The only thing that I'm having trouble with is that I can't have the mp3 and the notes on at the same time. I go to new song for the mp3 then load chart that I got from the tabs, but the music goes away. How do I get it to work?

How do you know how much you have to change the BPM? I'm now doing Kings of whatever for a friend, and this time I don't want to do the BPM changes the same way I did in AtWM (random numbers!). Example:

How much is one horisontal line? Or do you have any guidelines at all for this?
