Just to test:
FoF - Song Manager 3 (test version)

Edit: Oh. And you need JRE1.5 or higher: Java JRE. But it should be installed on the most computers.

This new version is so sleek and nice, much more organized and functional than the previous version. And the fact that it allows you to change the career settings just makes it pure awesome, thank you for this update.

Yeah, the standard java/swing "look and feel". so the programm looks similar on every system (win, linux, mac). but there are many things to do... player doesn't work really. add song to library.. and so on ;)

----------------------------------------------------------

Edit 1: Newer version to test :;):
FoF_SM on MediaFire

Edit 2: Ok. There is an error. When things in ini are uppercased like Artist or Name he doesn't found this. Plz don't work with this test versions! only to test. make a backup or copy some files before!

Error is fixed.

From RB: RockBand Decrypted Rips Only or from GH3: Guitar Hero III Song Thread

Edit:

Version 3.03:
- added counter functions
- added "If not exist create song.ogg from guitar.ogg"
- added "Delete all song.ogg that are similar to guitar.ogg"

For some songs it won't delete the score, it says Error: Midi Exception in readInformation function. Is there anyway to fix this?

Edit::
Actually, no scores delete for me.

Hey, I hadn't noticed this program until recently, it's excellent and helps me out a lot. Thank you so much.

However, the "Notes" tabs I'm having a few problems... On "Notes 1" for some songs it's listing no parts and no notes... For example Rock Band's "I think I'm Paranoid (Garbage)" (most other rock band songs it works fine). A lot of custom songs do the same thing.

Also, when I go to the "Notes 2" tab for "I think I'm Paranoid", instead of the list of parts, I get "{GNMIDI}Generated by illegal use of GNMIDI 2.0 demo after 167 days (only 5 days free testing allowed)".
On custom songs I mostly get garbage text.
On GH2 and some GH1 songs, it comes up with either a "MIDI" or "INPUT/OUTPUT" Exception in the "readInformation" function (this didn't happen in other cases)

Hopefully providing all this information helps debug stuff. I wouldn't know the first thing about programming with MIDIs, so I can't help much...

The errors "MIDI Exc." or "INPUT/OUTPUT Exc." is shown when Java can't read the midi file. Java works only with well structured and "correct" midi files. Many midis are stupid internal. The most songs will be play in the game, but Java and so the Song Manager can't read out the datas in those files. This means that the informations in tabs "Notes 1" and "Notes 2" are not correct.

Every midi has some tracks. mostly one for guitar, one for bass, one drums, ... they are definied as "PART GUITAR", "PART BASS", and so on.
"{GNMIDI}Generated by illegal use of GNMIDI 2.0 demo after 167 days (only 5 days free testing allowed)" is a trackname and means, that the midi was created with the program "GNMIDI", which is not legal used. ^^ So the trackname is wrong. The creator of the song should be use a correct working crack :D The program search for correct tracknames (PART ...). If it doesn't found it, it cannot read informations about the notes for the instrument and the difficulty.

Btw the scores: This is written in the ini. So i have to search the bug. Thx for information.

Edit: Bug fixed. Version 3.04 is out. Link in the first thread.

why???

The program just rename the folders to "Artist - Name",
e.g. "Black Sabbath - Iron Man"

what's happened?
