Help a noob friend :D!

Postby Naha » Thu Aug 02, 2012 9:54 am

Hi there!

I have fofix 3.121 and various sets of songs (GH, GH II, GH Metallica, etc) and of course the matchin' themes.

Is there any way of using them separately? I mean... having different shortcuts for every GH so when you launch FoFix it will display that particulary GH theme and songs only?

Any tips or help is appreciated =D!

what say help:
--config=, -c [configfile] Use this configuration file instead of fofix.ini from its standard location on your platform. Use "reset" to use the usual fofix.ini but clear it first.

--theme=, -t [theme] Force the specified theme to be used. Remember to quote the theme name if it contains spaces (e.g. %(prog)s -t "Guitar Hero III")
What say I:
Here 2 ways if u at Windows:
I way(ugly i think):
1. create shortcuts for FoFiX (as many as you need).
2. Open Properties and at end of path(to FoFiX.exe) property(im write it with quotation marks? but you shoudnt write them):
-t "<theme name>"

II Way:
1. create shortcuts for FoFiX (as many as you need).
2. go to %appdata%\fofix and create folders for you games.
3. Go to fofix and change settings for first game\theme you want
4. Copy fofix.ini to folder at %appdata%\fofix\
5. do steps 3 and 4 for all you themes. (mybe you want change set-list folder for separate theme)
6. Now go to Desktop and to end of Fofix.exe file-path add property(im write it with quotation marks? but you shouldn't write them)
"-config=%appdata%\fofix\<theme name or whatever you choose>\fofix.ini"
or
"-c %appdata%\fofix\<theme name or whatever you choose>\fofix.ini"

Example: "I:\FoFiX\FoFiX\FoFiX.exe --c %appdata%\GH WOR\fofix.ini"

now you can modify settings for separate "games"
Hope you understand me :В
