The fault lies with your keyboard. Turn Two-Note cords on.

Actually Stashincash06, some keyboards wont even ALLOW those 3 note chords to be completely held down. You have 2 options.
1. change your controls to `1234 for the frets and backspace and | for strumming.
2. just do the 2 note chord setting like they have been saying

A more complete answer is that depending on your keyboard, it might not be possible to do three note chords no matter how you map the buttons. As mentioned several times in this thread, you can use the 2 note chord cheat or use a real game controller instead of your keyboard to play the game.

You're already been given your options, but here is a complete list to make it clear:
1. Use the cheat to turn all chords into two note chords
2. Try another keyboard combination. There may or may not be a combination that will work for three note chords on your keyboard.
3. Use another keyboard that DOES work
4. Use a game controller

Unless you really want to give people a REALLY detailed explanation, then just follow what they said

1. Use the two-note chord cheat, which means no more three-note chords, it can be found in the cheat menu
2. Get a keyboard that doesn't restrict certain 3 simultaenous (sp?) holds
3. Get a Guitar Hero/Rock Band controller, any of them will work without any restrictions
4. Change the keys to a certain combination where you can hit those 3-note-chords
5. Somehow modify your keyboard to allow the 3-note combinations

If you don't care about the 2/3-note-chord thing, then follow option 1
If you really want to be able to play 3-note chords, then follow option 2, 3 or 4
If you don't want to go out and get the hardware to play, then follow option 4
If you're some kinda h4xx0rzzzxzz person then follow option 5

Thats all I have to give, whether you have an AZERTY/QWERTY keyboard doesn't matter
and other people also take time to post here, they've pretty much given clear answers
