Adding gems and frets! HELP!
Well, here's the deal. I have absolutely NO IDEA how to add frets and notes into a theme. Can someone tell me how! Preferably in a step-by-step instructions with pictures? Please?

Re: Adding gems and frets! HELP!
Firstly, throwing PMs around is a good way to get people annoyed, but not necessarily the best way to get people to help you.
Secondly, what do you want to do? Change the frets and notes from one theme to be those from another? Make your own? Use 3D notes / frets?

Re: Adding gems and frets! HELP!
Well, sorry for the PM, but I want to replace the frets and notes in one theme with other notes and frets, if you know what i mean.
Oh, and sorry if I'm starting to sound rude, but what you said kinda made me feel sad.
I've never posted for help before and this is my first time.

Re: Adding gems and frets! HELP!
I didn't mean to upset you, but there's generally no need for private messages just to point out forum threads. I was just warning you, it's not a good way to get people on your side.
As for the issue at hand, the note gems and frets are in the theme's folder (data/themes/<theme name>) The notes are called notes.png (and drumnotes.png for the drum ones) and fretbuttons.png (also drumfrets.png or, rarely, drumfretshacked.png). Copy those from one theme to another, overwriting files, and you're done.
Some themes use 3D notes/frets. In this case you also need to copy over all the files listed in the 3D notes/frets section of this page: http://code.google.com/p/fofix/wiki/The ... s#3D_Notes
and open the theme.ini of the theme you're copying to and add the lines:
twoDkeys = False
twoDnote = False
Hopefully that covers most of what you need to know.
