Mod for drumnotes?

Postby piraten91 » Tue Dec 01, 2009 4:44 am

Is it possible to make the bass note to appear as a fifth note just like for the guitar instead of the line?
Help is appreciated!

The only thing you could do would be to change the name of the Drum track in the midi file from "PART DRUM" to "PART GUITAR" using a midi editor like anvil studio. Then the drum chart will show up on the guitar track.

But then you'd have to strum the notes.

Memes are so funny hahaha I'm splitting with laughter I can't control this laughter at this meme which uses a word incorrectly oh hahaha

:glare:

That was EPIC.

My songs. All made in EOF, beat-synced and note-synced, not very many missed notes.

You could edit the drumnotes.png and drumfrets.png to make the pedal look like another pad note, though you'd have to squeeze two notes into the space of one, or if you really wanted it to look nice, move all the notes using theme.ini settings.

I thought he wanted to play them with a guitar.

Going off what NBSRDan said, couldn't you just change the name of fretbuttons.png and notes.png to drumfrets.png and drumnotes.png? There might still be some things that need to be modified in the theme.ini though.

interesting thought but it would be very cramped because the fretboard runway or whatever it's called, for drums in thinner than is it for guitar

You'd have to edit the theme.ini, because just copying and renaming the guitar fret/note images results in:

If you did get everything aligned though, you'd effectively have a strumless mod (by renaming "PART GUITAR" to "PART DRUMS" and mapping drums to F1-5).

Im really lost here. I also got that horrible screen and i changed "PART GUITAR" to "PART DRUMS" but it did not help.
If someone manages to do what im after could they please share with me how to do because im really interested in making this work.
And by the way i still want to play this with the drums and not the guitar.

It can't be done with the code the way it is at the moment.
If you did change part guitar to part drums then you'd have to play it as guitar, strumming and all.
