guitar should not play when note is not hit?
it seems to me that like in guitar hero and in rockband when you dont hit a note the guitar stops and the bass and other things like drums continue, Is this the way it is with fofix? is it just certain songs, a mod or what am I missing, just seems very lifeless when the guitar continues and the notes arent being hit

If you have songs with a separated guitar track, set your miss volume to 0 and the guitar will go silent when you miss.
A lot of songs don't have a separate guitar track though. In this case you can set the "single tack miss volume" lower, but the whole song will go quiet, not just the guitar.

Can you know (and how) by looking at the song folder, do you have song with separate instruments or all-in-one?
Thanks in advance.

yeah,
you should have multiple ".ogg" files.
they should be named according to each track.
