Songs are playing too fast!

Postby caramba2654 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 11:12 am

When I start a song, the track comes up all lagy and slow... and all my songs are playing too fast! I already searched for all the solutions, but I can't make them... What can I do to slow down the songs and fast foward a little bit the track when it comes up?

Info: I'm using version 3.120 beta 2 (I think...) With Rock Band 2 theme and playing with a PS2 Kramer guitar controller

Spoiler:Disclaimer: I'm brazilian and my english isn't very good... I tryed to explain with all my potential...

Ok, i can help you with the speed thing. Go to audacity and load the OGG. file that you are using for your song. At the left side of your track, you should see some options. Find where it says stereo or mono and make sure it says stereo. That should fix your speed problem.

Oh and if you are using EOF you can change the speed from slow to medium to fast in the options.

And as far as the lagging goes, i dont know. Is your computer old or low on memory? Or a bad graphics card? A lot of things can cause lag.

But I can't download audacity...

I think it has 3,24 ram, and my computer is new and pretty fast. Pretty good graphics card

Hmm....you need to make sure the OGG. is playing stereo sound not mono....you could possibly try to find a different music managing program thats similar to audacity and try downloading that.

I will download audacity for a short time. Can I make all the songs stereo once? Or I have to edit each song manually?

I just opened Audacity and the audio is already stereo... ¬¬

As for the comment about the speed in EOF, that only affects the preview inside EOF and has no effect on the chart itself.

It is.

BTW, what's EOF?

EOF = Editor on Fire, one of the two common Programs to do songs for FoF.
Go ingame, in the settings section of the game should be an option which determines the sample rate the game uses for the songs, this one has to be equal with the actual frequency the song has. You can see the songs frequency in audacity. If that still doesn't work, I recommend using a stable version of Fofix, e.g. 3.100

Thanks! I'll try those.

The sample rate of the songs and the buffer size are the same.

I'll try to delete the fretsonfire.ini

---- EDIT ----

Ok. Nothing worked. What do I do now?

---- EDIT ----

Problem solved :)
