W.I.P. thread

This is a custom 'somewhat Rockband based' theme I've been working on for the past 3-4 months. I can't even begin to stress to you what a serious pain in the ass this thing has been. But I think it turned out alright. I'm far from being totally done with it, It's a bit rough around the edges, and there are a number of things I would like to add/change/remove at a later date. But I'm pretty happy with it for now. I hope you all like it and are able to get some use out of it.

Everything in this theme is custom made, right down to the sound effects. It's a pretty graphics intensive theme, nothing light here...at all (I went nuts). So consider yourself warned (and expect a fairly large download)

Some features are:
3D notes
A custom player image: He's the little guy at the top (I was bored)
Hit animations
An animated background
custom sound scheme
2 menu tracks
and a custom neck made specifically for this theme

Downloads:

Spoiler:Download 1 640x480 backgrounds (about a 15-20 second load time)

Download 2 320x240 backgrounds (about a 8-10 second load time)

It's not like I dislike sleeping, I really do like it to be honest. It's the whole wake up/go to sleep business I don't like.

Woah! This looks awesome! Damn work, I want to play with it now.
In any case, it's added to the theme list under Other/Uncategorized for now (Until I can find somewhere better to put it).
Seriously awesome though. And it's nice to see a new 100% custom theme. :2thumbsup:

Now I've had a chance to play it, and I must say that the screenshots don't do it justice. The custom sounds really add quite a lot to the experience. I sat on the setlist screen for a few minutes just scrolling up and down listening to the noise it made
I do have a few relatively minor suggestions though.
Firstly: The animated stage could be set up more conveniently if you made a subfolder of stages. There are separate "animated stage" settings. If you make a subfolder then you can set "animated stage" to "Starz" for example and leave the slideshow settings alone so they don't affect the RB2 theme for example. Also, you really should have a "practice.png" and a "default.png", for people who don't use the animated background, and for practice mode (atm, practice bg is just black)
Secondly: If you are using the theme.ini to specify the fill circle around the in-game result stars, you don't need the stargreyX images (you still need stargrey.png). Also, it's too hard to see that circle. I was looking for it in-game and couldn't make it out.
Thirdly: Killswitch tails. The default ones suck and your theme doesn't have any.
And finally: I like how you've made all your loading phrases fit on one line within the image, but alpha versions of FoFiX have introduced a second line (that tells you what it is that's loading), which obviously no longer fits in that line. Not to mention that some songs have custom loading phrases which are normally longer than one line... This is not so much a suggestion as just notifying you of the issue.

...That seems like a lot of stuff, but it is all minor. I really do love this theme :2thumbsup:
