Already made rockmeter and board design, layout provided, looks like I'm ready to start programming the new rockmeter!

Angellinus, I like the multiplier advancement. :)

Hey thanks yeah..... Its just Paint.Net I used the Noise tool. The rest is the Cloud Tool.

It may be on a feature freeze but that doesn't mean I can't work on the rock meter off to the side without committing. When the freeze is over I'll commit anything I might have.

And I was planning on using angellinus's.

Did anyone confirm that?
This thread may have been started by me, but that doesn't mean I have final say, by the way. The idea is that the whole thing is designed by the FoFiX community, not just me. The final theme could have a rock meter I absolutely hate, but if everyone else liked it, that would be the one we used.

And btw, blazingamer, I don't mind if you work on it like that, as it's looking like we want at least the fuel bar attached to one side, and even if we do end up deciding on a radically different rock meter, that layout should be easily modified (at the very least) to the GH5 layout. And no doubt someone will do a GH5 theme at some point.
Plus, it opens a gateway to another kind of theme. The more customs, the better

That being said... What rock meter ideas do people like best so far? I'll take this opportunity to point out that my favourite is still Blazemann's lightning rod attached to a voltmeter above the fretboard. I might try and make a quick mockup of how I see it, like others have so far.

---- EDIT ----

Here's my quick and dirty mockup:

Image
(please ignore the multiplier and stuff on the bottom left)

It looks crap because it took me 2 minutes to draw up, and the idea itself is far from perfect (I've just realised it overlaps the lyrics). But you can at least see the idea.
And perhaps when "ignition" (or whatever) is activated, a lightning bolt shoots down from the rock meter and causes the "fire".

Well it is a quick mockup...... We should really put the meters in the side of the fretbboard to avoid scattered pieces.

This is the multiplier I made and plan on using.

I also like the idea for the little circle that fills, I'm going to try an enhance it's design if that's okay.

actually if you can shrink it and move it down between the Fret board and the vocal highway, you might be able to fit it. Though I'm not sure how well it could pulled off at the current moment.

Maybe you shrink it and for band play the rock meter or voltage meter could be like, the amp window then a two-sided 'lightning rod' that connects up to the voltage meter.
Actually that sounds kinda complicated.
