Thank you for this theme, it really looks cool!

Although the "issues" Death_au mentioned are, indeed, needed to be corrected.

You may see these instructions, just to see what you could do, from the theme.ini of the RB2 Theme by K.i.D (it's results screen are really cool):

Code: Select all

#score
result_score = .425,.144,0.00085

#stars
result_star = .71,.755,0.075,1.0

#song
result_song = .5,.045,.0047
result_song_text = %s

#icon
result_stats_part = .455,.47,0.3
result_stats_part_text = $icon$

#Notes, Difficulty, And Percent
result_stats_notes = .565,.352,0.002
result_stats_notes_text = %s

result_stats_diff = .565,.384,0.002
result_stats_diff_text = %s

result_stats_accuracy = .565,.416,0.002,#c5c606
result_stats_accuracy_text = %.1f%%

result_stats_streak = .5,.448,0.002,#c5c606
result_stats_streak_text = %d NOTE STREAK

#cheating text
result_cheats_info = .5,.57,.002
result_cheats_numbers = .44,.61,.002
result_cheats_percent = .5,.65,.002
result_cheats_score = .43,.7,.002
result_cheats_color = #FFFFFF

#result screen menu [Continue, Retry, Quit]
result_menu_x = .1
result_menu_y = .565

Hope it helps!

Hasta!

this is pretty sweet! custom fret buttons and notes would cap this off nicely

Lol, I've been using the Dethklok them up until now, but this looks pretty sweet. xD

Seeing as I'm OVERLY lazy, is there a way you could modify it for the RB fret board and stuff for in game? I'm lazy, btu I woudl be quite thankful if you coudl do it... :)

So, I finally got around to installing this and trying it out. I would definitely support this as a default theme for FoFiX once all the GH ties are broken.

Just a few suggestions.

1. Resize the tails in the tails folder. On GNU/Linux tails (and any other image for that matter) that are one pixel in height do not repeat correctly, resulting in a blank tail. I resized the canvas for each tail to five pixels and duplicated the layer five times to solve the issue for myself, and all was fine.

2. When playing Co-Op with the girlfriend, I noticed that the drum notes were a bit off from the beat lines, while her bass notes were aligned properly. It may not be a bad idea to look into that.

3. This isn't so much of an issue as it is a me thing, it may not be a bad idea to put RB2 set-list images in there, for people that prefer it.

4. Another GNU/Linux issue. Make sure all of your images are named entirely in lower case, else the game will crash. Linux is case sensitive so MainBG.png is different from mainbg.png. Again, I renamed all the files that had capitals for myself, and all was fine.

5. I see you have a corrected theme.ini file for the game results screen, but perhaps the screen could be darker? It doesn't fit so much with the rest of the theme being white, but that is just my opinion.

6. BRE box, it looks kind of empty with out it.

Other than that, the theme is awesome. A few more stages and a different set of notes, and this theme is on it's way to being truly unique; Nice job.

Amazing theme, the only thing that could make it better is:
- Grunge Menu music (to fit the theme)
- Girttier sound effects (to compliment the grunge-ness of the theme).
- JPEG-PNG backgrounds (to reduce file size)
- Plus see the comments above

To all the people giving advice and telling me to continue this, I will. I've already got a update coming along...but once again, my time is limited. I'll do my best to get things moving :wink:
PS thanks for the above comments, I'm looking into them

OH. GOD. YES.

I couldn't hit that Download button fast enough. Also: Lys had a point. You should throw in a RB2 setlist.

I didn't like the setlist all to much, it was pretty bright, so I changed it to this.
