Woah! Awesome and unique 3D notes! :drool: (have yet to test them in-game)
I noticed you made star[b]a[/i]tex images for them too. Are they working okay for everyone? Thought this might be a good place to ask and check.

Also, because you are obviously awesome with this 3D notes stuff, I have a request... My Oldschool FoF theme is in need of a bit of an update, and I was wondering if you could make some textured 3D notes for me. I don't really know what I want in terms of texturing, except I want the normal notes to be the same as the original FoF's notes, and the staratex ones to look like they're on fire. as for the star notes... No idea. The white I'm currently using is okay, but... Yeah, I don't know.
I'd also like the RF-Mod default notes textured similarly too. But it's up to you if you'd like to do it or not.

And yeah, those notes are awesome. I have to use them in.... something...

if you give me some images showing what you are trying to achieve i can look into it, would need a concept image as a guide at least

Fair enough. I'll come up with some concept images and get back to you.

The regular note of knapman still didn't change, I mean its view. The Ho/Po is correct enough, but the regular note is not align properly yet or is it meant to be like that? I just don't like it. :P

I mean, look at this image.

Well, you see, the non-Ho/Po note is kinda weird. I don't know how to say but look at how it is positioned or its POV.

Could you reposition the RB notes? And these new ones are F.ckin awesome. But i dont know why does 3D notes forces custom POV? Is it with fofix or your notes?

FoFiX uses the POV from the old frets on fire when rendering 3D notes. Because the code was taken directly from there, and modified for things like textures. Guess no one's tried to fix the POV yet. Maybe if use of 3D notes was more widespread...

I read a few pages back that many people were seeing a black glitch in the notes
to fix this it is crucial that in the shaders options the metal notes are disabled, to do this make sure the advance settings are displayed and then go to
Options>Display settings>Advance video settings>More effects>Notes:disabled

Actually, the issue with POV changing is your doing - was there a purpose I'm unaware of behind your changing it in the first place that is still warranted or shall I change it back.

Code: Select all

    #death_au: fixed neck size
    if Theme.twoDnote == False or Theme.twoDkeys == False:
      self.boardWidth     = 3.6
      self.boardLength    = 9.0

...Interesting. I do not recall changing that at all. I thought it was blazin who put the 3D note support in...
If I did do it, I'm sure there was a reason, but since that was before google code then it wasn't properly documented.
Get rid of it and see what breaks :tongue2:

Also, are boardWidth and boardLength adjustable in the theme.ini? Isn't all the custom POV stuff based around camera angles? ...Sorry to go off topic a little.
