there really did used to be a "custom" option setting for pov, i'm almost possitive the by theme setting applies the appropriate pov based on the themes base.
just tested and seemed to confirm this.

looking at the fof.ini didn't help
[fretboard]
point_of_view =

0 = fof
1 = gh3
2 = rb
3 = gh2
4 = rr
5 = theme

i tried adding a 6, didn't crash the game but no luck(displayed rb pov)

Hey, I'd like to ask anyone to upload the current fofix as binaries.
I'm just too stupid to get the python stuff to work, but I'd like 3D notes.
If it's too much to do, no problem.

It's not ready yet, there's still bugs in 3.120. The current version is 3.100. Though, I think we should get a beta soon! :smile:

I know but you can create binaries yourself, can't you?

Run the RebuildWin.bat script from the src/scripts/ folder. That builds an EXE file in the place you'd get it in normal FoFiX.

Yeah, we can, but we won't release one, it isn't clever to release a alpha without the go by the authors.
All that want to play have to set up a python build environment themself or wait till a beta get released.

this again, kid should fix his theme.ini for the .svn until the 3d notes work

@Italo_Hellboy: trinidude said it best

link

@Maurice10: it's allready been heavily discussed and decided no unofficial alpha releases, sorry

on the upside setting up and running the .svn isn't that hard if you follow the instructions carefully :)

ive got one.

but seriously tho. why have an icon in the logo of an x and thats it? it doesnt represent anything in the game at all.
have it looking like a guitar or a fret or a note or something other than just an x. unless it was two guitar necks together as an x then thats SOMETHING related.

Make the 5 letters in FoFiX the 5 colors of the Rock Band frets and we should be good to go. :thumbup:
