Oldschool Frets on Fire theme version 3 [FoFiX]

--------------------------------------------
Oldschool FoF Theme ( v.3.0 )
--------------------------------------------

UPDATE:
Version 3 is here!

This is a theme for FoFiX. It attempts to keep up-to-date with the latest features of the mod, while still giving the look of the oldschool Frets on Fire. It is fully compatible with FoFiX 3.000+ and there are older versions available for older versions of MFH-Alarian mods.

I believe there was a theme like this previously, but I've tried to make mine look like the old one as far as graphics for everything are concerned. Which means notes and fret buttons have been made by taking screenshots of the original Frets on Fire (or using the original 3D notes and keys). Other graphics have been converted from the old svgs.
Of course, I've taken some artistic liberties with some of the features, like having "overdrive" make everything glow red like it's on fire.

This theme based off the Rock Band theme, for positioning and so forth.

------------------------
Instructions:
------------------------

Simply copy the contents of the "themes" folder into your FoFiX themes folder
Then copy the contents of the "mods" folder into your FoFiX mods folder

Change to the theme in the FoFiX display settings, and for a more authentic experience,
turn on the "Oldshool Fonts", "Cassetes" and "Suitcases" (or "Guitar Cases" if you prefer)
mods.

Also, you may wish to turn on the animated stage as well ;)

Have fun :)

SWEET! Unfortunantly, I deleted my FoF folder in anticipation of MFH-Alarian 2.9. then I learned the Installer Package wasn't up yet. anyway, I'll get this when the 2.9 installer package is out.

What is it that you don't like about them? I'm not being mean, I'm really asking.

BTW, because this theme is Rock Band based, I'm thinking of taking advantage of the "Rock Band Beta" mode to make the notes and fret buttons look like the default RF-mod ones.
To be honest, when I first started playing FoF, I used RF-mod, and those notes/fret buttons are a lot more nostagic for me :p

This is really awesome. It's great to have a classic FOF theme. I really like what you did with the overdrive meter. Great work and thanks!

i also dont like the notes and keys. the notes seem to be leaning sidways slightly.. like there twisted around . and the keys esp the 2 outside ones green and orange they look a completely different shape to the rest of them. in fact to be honest only the yellow key looks normal the others all look distorted slighty.

Wicked mod!!!!

I liked the fail screen and the overdrive mod, I think that the keys have to look more like noob mod or something, but that's just for better playing, as it is right now it's very similar to the regular fof xD

Nice job :)

Ah, very nice, I really like the look of this remake, although I'm going to stick with my notes and keys, the ones in this are too distorted. One thing however, are you using animated stages to get the alternating lights because that might be a bit much, I suggest setting them in the stage.ini if they aren't already.

That's not old school FoF. :(

That's 1.2.451, I clicked the topic expecting a mod that made FoF look like FoF 1.1.324. You made me a very sad Scutch. :(
If you can read this then you've gone too far.
