This is the best Alarian Mod theme ever so I make a small stuff for it. I didn't find nice-looking starnotes so i made it ) The aim was to make them differ from other notes and save style of theme.
Here's star.dae (just put it to \Themes\Oldschool FoF\ folder) for original Oldskool Mod
and StarRF.dae for RF-Mod (put it to \mods\Oldschool Rf-mod style\Themes\ folder and rename to "star.dae")
Mediafire link ~30kB
I haven't puthon to compile blender plugin so I made it in Notepad =)
I can post a screen it someone need it.

New notes.
Link: Mediafire ~ 60 kB.

You did it notepad? ???
Awesome job though.
The Rf-mod star notes look awesome, but on the oldschool ones I think that circle in the middle needs to be expanded slightly. I don't know if you know how to do that or not...
Also, is there any way to make the white parts a different colour? I'd like to make them an orangy-red kinda colour... to fit with the 2D notes.
Great work though. Thank you so much for doing that.

EDIT: I just opened the file in notepad myself to have a look and I have absolutely no clue what's going on in there... good job for getting your head around that.

death_au, Thanks! =) I tried to change color, but I only can change material settings. I can make oldckool notes bigger and can make them white.
For RF-mod I tried to make notes RB-like.
Now I 'm working on good RB 3D notes and RF-mod starnotes.

IMO the drum bass key should be the space bar, but thats just my opinion, great mod.

I agree, and that's what I've tried to do. It's also a space bar for the bass note, which I'm not 100% sure about...
Also, there's no support for a 3D bass drum button as yet.

And that's not to mention that I don't actually have a space bar 3D model to work with yet. I wish I knew how to use blender (and that the oldschool notes and keys would actually import >_>" )

Feel free to make whatever you like. Post it here and I'll look at them and most likely put someone's into the next version. And of course I'll credit you both :D
I just can't do the 3D stuff. If you end up doing a bass note (that's not a space bar) and fits well with the rest of the theme (normal, rf or both) then I'll fix up my 2D images to match the note. The only thing is there's not any support for a 3D bass drum key yet, but I'm sure I could add that in. It shouldn't be too hard, positioning of the button would be the only hard part.... I hope

By the way, I don't have access to FoF right this minute, so I can't check out your new notes, but I'll definately have a look when I get home. Thanks for all your help, guys!

I'm not sure what you meant by the glow effect... Unfortunately I see no difference to your previous notes :(

Alright, after some fiddling around I realise I really suck at 3D modelling. Therefore I have some concrete requests now.
fenolftalein's new note.dae and star.dae are pretty good. I would prefer the star note to have a kind of flame coloured texture like my 2D notes, but at the moment I can just fiddle with the "spot" colour until I find something I'm happy with (or give up and leave it white). I would however like to have the spot back in the normal notes. Although I don't want it to be the spot, I want it to be the same as the underside of the note (so it will remain black). Does that make sense?
I mean the middle of the note is currently invisible with these new notes, and I want that bit filled in with black.

Also, I would like an open.dae that fits with this theme. In my 2D notes, I'm using a space bar type image, but if it could be made more like the current notes for the theme (maybe just stretching the note out to the width of the fretboard?) that would be excellent. That goes for the rf-mod notes as well. I might actually do this with my 2D notes anyway before my next release.

Hopefully someone can make these for me. fenolftalein will already be credited for his 3D notes in the next version and anyone else who contributes will obviously be credited also.

"Glow effect" means that I made extra light spot on star notes, so you can easily recognize them.

It's not okay... Other people are using this theme no problems without crashing, so something must be wrong... What version of Alarian are you using? And when exactly does it crash? Is there an error in the fretsonfire.exe.log?
