Re: Rock Band 2 : Continues..[1.6.5] Revision 27 ..by [K.i.D]™
I really think that 1024x768 should be treated as the standard and how settings should be messed around with.
For other common resolutions theme_1280_960.ini might be the way to go? Just come up with good values, copy the normal theme.ini and edit those values accordingly.
Just a suggestion, but it's something. It will be impossible to please everyone but I think that 1024x768 is the most common resolution.

It's not like I dislike sleeping, I really do like it to be honest. It's the whole wake up/go to sleep business I don't like.

I agree too. I also like the idea of having a second ini for the widescreen values... I smell a feature request for FoFiX.

Hmmm...
Although I always play it in 1024*768 I don't know if that should be treated like a standard resolution.
Dunno...just seems unfair to people who plays the game in other resolutions. I'm thinking of something more like, fixing the code so that it would always be resolution adjustable.
Dunno...I'm not an expert or something, and perhaps this has to be talked with the developers and not with K.I.D.
Hasta!

I suppose it is technically a code issue. But I think it's just an aspect ratio thing, rather than a resolution thing. If you play at 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x960... They all look the same. It's just when you start getting into the other aspect ratios that you start getting issues, hence the idea of a 4:3 and a 16:9 theme.ini separate.

In the latest Version of FoFiX, they changed the Theme.ini for stars, so all themes that have set postilion will be broken.
the fix is changing the line
result_star = .5,.35,0.15,0.5, you will have to wait till they fix the theme.ini or you can go in and adjust it yourself.
I've adjusted the theme I'm currently working on to the new theme.ini settings
you can copy this
result_score = .23,.11,0.0014
result_song = .05,.045,.003,Song Played: %s
result_star = .51,.76,0.16,0.4
result_stats_notes = .73,.52,0.002,Notes Hit: %s
result_stats_diff = .732,.55,0.002,Difficulty: %s
result_stats_streak = .734,.58,0.002,Note Steak: %s
result_stats_accuracy = .736,.61,0.002,Accuaracy: %.1f%%
result_stats_part = .74,.64,0.002,Instrument Used: %s
Overwriting those lines, its not in the same layout as this is for my theme but at least you can see all of it.
Hope this helps

Ehh ? there is nothing wrong the the ini.. it's just fofix that dosn't respect dffrent aspect ratios.
Give fenolftalein some time and he will fix it.
FoFiX already does this for many thing.. It shouldnt matter if you use 4:3, 16:9 or even 16:10 (1680*1050)

Also, on MrFaust's Rock Band 1, 2, and DLC how do I get the drum audio to work?
I think that was implemented in a later version than you have. If you update to FoFiX, then it should just work straight away.SmoothedOutIdiot wrote:I'm going to download trinidude's version 3 of the alarian mod, but I'm a little confused which one to download. Should I download the latest folder?
Yeah, in the "FoFiX 3.0 + patches" folder, "FoFiX-3.030+r1017-Full-MacOSX-Universal(3.100RC1).zip" is the latest. This is FoFiX 3.100 RC1, which is technically a testing version, but it's pretty stable and 3.100 final should be out in a week or two (maybe less), and you can already start using some of the more awesome features of this theme.
That's the one I downloaded, but I had some controller compatibility problems. I use a GH2 PS2 controller and a Ps2-Ps3 adapter that helps me plug it into my computer. For some odd reason after doing the controller settings, only my 2nd fret and pushing my strum bar up would work.

Akedrou changed star drawing function, so I can't make it universal for all screen resolutions, until I contact him.
Song name scaling can be changed in theme.ini, isn't it? (I just don't want to touch font rendering function before 3.100)
Just revert to r1047 if you want.
PS. I'm trying to make resolution independent view, so i don't think, that theme_16_9.ini is needed.
Already FIXED!
K.I.D.: Add this string to theme.ini:

Don't get me wrong on what I'm about to say next, ok? Thanks.
Don't you guys hate when you're waiting for someone to help you with something, and then someone comes up posting questions THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN DISCUSSED FOR LIKE WHAT, A THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE?
Jesus! Read all posts, or search within the thread for what you are looking for! It's not that hard, you know? I've done it always and I've always found what I was looking for.
--End of Off-Topic--
Now, for the thing we were talking about, before this interruption, does anyone know how to fix the results screen for people who play the freaking game in other resolution besides 1280*960?
Thanks for your help.
No need to be so agressive I think. I asked because I didn't knew and because I'm not in the mood to go searching in 46 pages of this thread. If you*always* have the time to do that... cool. But I don't.
Thanks to the guys that helped me. After all, that's what a community is for: helping.

Sou, you're not in the mood...I guess that says it all.
If K.I.D, or some other members weren't in the mood for spending time working on this theme, you wouldn't be using it...hell, if the developers weren't in the mood you wouldn't be playing FoFix.
You didn't need to read all 46 pages of posts...you could have always used the search.
I guess you weren't in the mood for that also.
I'm must apologize to all other members because of this off-topic.

Say what you want. You seem to be the only one offended because of a simple question. Everyone's a noob sometime and I didn't know how to do what I wanted so I asked a question and other people were nice enough to answer it. Simple as that. I've never said that I don't appreciate the work of K.I.D. or any of the developers. Don't put words on my mouth.
Now, you'll excuse me if I don't reply to you anymore because arguing about *this* is really worthless ( as compared to asking a question about the theme in... wait for it... the thread of the theme !)
