I made a new one.

Images in boxes:
Box 1 - The star fill that when it is fill up, you got a 1 star, then fill another, you get 2 star, then up to gold stars.
Box 2 - The color glow where the fill is in.
Box 3 - The rock meters bottom, top, and glow when overdrive is activated. Now it has a multiplier at the left circle and a star counter at the right circle.
Box 4 - The multiplier circle when it rounds up, there will be a X2,then another a X3,then another is X4.(Lets just say in rock band themes mult2.png)
Box 5 - The rock meter fill and overdrive fill.
Box 6 - The overdrive glow.
Box 7 - The streak counter.
Box 8 - The multiplier numbers including the bass groove multipliers.
Box 9 - The stars that indicates how you are great in that song.

Oh the letters E and F at the bottom of the overdrive bar means Empty and Full, while the F and R in the top means Fail and Rock.

A revision to my idea:

The lightning would be very thin, maybe 5 pixels thick. It could go along the fret lines, not interfering with any notes veiw. Also, a possibility could be to use two rods, on at each top corner; the lightning would be able to go to, or at least near, the edge of the neck, then angle up to the rods. To bolts per rod. Possibly make a cycling of 2 or three differnent bolts, so it isn't always exactly the same in a seires of the same notes.

That's not a bad idea angellinus... only it seems too car-like or car-related...

For a "Frets On FIRE X" Theme, it should be fire-related...

Point taken, how about the sides of the neck being the meter?


The flames stretch out towards the farther end of the neck as you get more rock. Maybe the flame texture itself should have 4 states like rb and gh has red for low.

i was thinking of a rockmeter kinda like this... its obviosly no where close and i totally suck w/graphics

if the score doesnt work there... i have a pic of a strat that should work

Could be a (animated) flame that gets bigger during yellow to green (and vice versa) then starts freezing over as you hit red?

Random idea just popped into my head.

ya have the flames located were the star power is located (1:28 in video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lf4Z_gXKBM) then as u start sucking it gets dimmer and by the time you reach red your whoule fret board starts freezing and by the time you fail the ice cracks into a million pieces thatd be pretty coo but really hard to code cuz im thinking animated

One side (preferably the right side) could be the flames (rock meter) and the other side (left) could be a tube of fuel also going up the neck which would fill as you gain "Fuel" to "Ignite" with. (Basically Star Power). Then when you do "Ignite", the flames would get much larger than normal.

Then I'd prefer to see a fuel or oxygen tank, with pipes going to either side of the fretboard, would probably at the nearest end of the fretboard like rockband, anyway rock meter first. :P

LoL, cool ideas. Maybe we could rename this thread custom fofix features that rock band and guitar hero doesn't have and we could make em' and i will be glad to participate in the idea giving cuz i have many.

ROCKMETER ideas isn't the same as Overdrive bar ideas, starpower bar ideas, time meters, score boxes and stuff. Damn..
