So I got Windows 7 RC1
I tried both source and precompiled, and both have serious lags, mainly with the sound. They're unplayable
Is there a way to make python more W7 friendly?

I have also win 7 RC1 and everything works perfectly... sure you have all required python dependencies installed?? BTW I've never noticed differences running fofix between XP, Vista or 7... in fact they are only newer versions of the same S.O. (Windows)

Thanks for that!
It really gave me courage to try again and I found that Fofix 3.1 final works perfectly.
I will now check what is not working.

The drums.ogg and rhythm.ogg files arent playing anymore as of 1723. It's really weird.

edit: problem occurs when rate's set to 22050 and bits are set to 8.

I notice that there aren't any n00bs asking where beta 2 is. GC Roadmap says it was supposed to be released yesterday. Shows that they don't use the google code site for their questions/bugs reports. haha

Some things that are in my head currently (Which probably means they must be ultra-important)

- RB2 tails still haven't been attached to analog whammy.
- Why do RB2 tails pulse like that?
- I can see how it's harder to make the disc and overdrive bar bounce, but it would add a lot to the feel.
- I really really want the "debris" of notes to fall down. Probably a theme thing but whatever.

Edit:
Bonus:
- hitflames1.png and 2 are rotated to match the angle of the fret, eh? Well they're rotated in the wrong direction.

I dont get it but it does bounces when you gain energy or enable overdrive and kick the bass pedal.

That's because it's not in 3.100 - it happened later.

It is. Nada means nothing. I'm not sure if it's just slang or actually a foreign word...

"Nada" is indeed a foreign word : Spanish for "Nothing", and also a Sanskrit term used in Hindu musical theory to denote subtle aspects of musical sound.

And while the latter is more on topic, hannon probably meant the former, though. :p

I'll ask. Where is Beta 2. LOL!!! I also doubt that there will be a final next Saturday. For some reason SVN does not work for me, so i am stuck waiting for releases.

Just a heads up that there are a fair number of updates to vocals in the latest revision.

My brief experience with testing the new vocals stuff:
The arrow still jumps around quite a lot (I can't sing either, but I think it's still a lot more than it should)
Tapping notes seem to work perfectly, but for some reason I can never hit the last one in a phrase, no matter how on time I seem to hit it.
Also, I don't think "Cool for Cats" is supposed to have a tap section at the start (going from a Youtube video) but it does in FoFiX. I'm not sure if that's the fault of the midi or not. "Carry On My Wayward Son" seems to work fine (and I only managed to finish it due to the large amount of tap sections)
I tried scrolling lyrics and "2-line" (which on vocals doesn't seem to show the upcoming line, but yeah) and both seem to work fine.
Also... The debug option to use pypitch doesn't work, crashing with an error as soon as notes appear. This is known, yes?

Can you use headphone mics for vocals?

I tried to use the mic attached to my headphone and set the controller to Microhphone but it says Microphone not detected.
