Where is fretsonfire.ini located when using "SVN version" of FoFix? Settings are saving so it has to be somewhere, but not in game folder or subfolders

EDIT:Worked that out  I have changed blank fretsonfire.ini to fofix.ini in the main folder and it works as it should.

There is currently nothing you can do about improving the pitchbend, unless you want to help jstumpo improve his code for the pitchbend module.

In GuitarScene.py, and since (at least) revision #6 on GoogleCode :

Code: Select all

# Copyright (C) 2006 Sami Kyöstil?

It's Kyöstilä. :p

Spoiler:Worse than the nasty lack of space, line 14.

Could ktail1-6.png and ktaile1-6.png support be added for GHIII themes that would activate when killswitch/whammy is being used? The white tail used in the GHIII themes currently just doesn't fit in well.

You need to add the following line :

Code: Select all

mic_features_enabled = True

i play the src version and my fretsonfire.ini is empty !

Since some revisions, the settings are now saved in fofix.ini instead of fretsonfire.ini (mostly because the devs wanted to mess with our heads and render a few tutorials invalid... or something like that ;) ).

Under Windows, you will find it in: %appdata%/fofix/
Under Linux or Mac Os X, the filepath is: ~/.fofix/

You can also make a blank one at the root of the application, start a game (Fofix will then write the default settings to this empty .ini*), exit, add the line, start the game again, enjoy.

_____________
*so if you want to keep your custom settings, you better find where the "other" fofix.ini is.

So, I can't seem to get the whammy bar to make me change my target in battle mode when doing the 3 player version. Did the key get changed since that went in? Or is it something I need to activate in the Battle options menu?

Oh damn, I had no idea support for vocals was in the works. I mean, I saw preliminary means of using the mic to play guitar parts, but hell yea. I sure hope this is working soon, I'm definitely a vocalist.

I can't get the mic to work. I installed the latest SVN, and the required modules including pypitch and pyaudio. I created a new fofix.ini in the src folder, and changed mic_features_enabled = True. I created a new controller for the mic and assigned it to a player (everything seemed fine there except when naming it I had to close the program and name it manually). I then found out from another post that I have to play RB Co-op to use the mic - I go to that in multiplayer, everything works good from there to the point it starts to load the song - it freezes there and never gets to the song. I've never used an SVN before and I'm surprised it went as well as it did to this point, but I really wanted to check out the mic (which tests fine also, btw).

Division by zero is fixed, the game still crashes right after finishing the song and before entering the score screen though.
The logfile doesn't give any relevant error info, but at least the command window does:
http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/5391/sfdasdf.jpg

EDIT:
While you guys are at it, could you implement some sort of mic sensitivity check or setup? My mic is way too sensitive and returns an output while I do nothing.
I know I could set it up with my windows mic settings, but that would screw up my settings in Ventrilo and stuff. :glare:
Well I figured there is an option for that (sort of) already called Tab sensitivity, but it doesn't seem to change anything.
