i was thinking about the font possition thing

would now be a good time to add x,y,scale options to the theme.ini for the scores

then we would only need a seperate ini to support one or the other

the results screen can allready be fixed this way

I was wondering if this could maybe be THOUGHT about.

For people that use GH2 Sloppy. Make it so you can press a certain key/button and have the scores show the original score before it reduced it. Obviously still have it upload the modified score, but just a way to show the original scores on the set list. I just prefer to see the original score than the modified one. A button or something like the other things.. Press it once, would change it to original scores.. Press it again changes it back to modified score.

Something like that? ..Just wondering.

Perhaps. It strikes me as though I should get co-op scores working before I would consider adding that, and adding some very evident way that it was unadjusted scores... But really - as long as all of your scores are on the same handicap why do you want to see what at that point would just be all of your scores multiplied by 1.33?

Hey all,

For those of you having errors that prevent the new version (beta) of FoFix from opening at all, is your 3.1 final installation from an automatic install package? Or did you simply unzip the archive?

Although 3.1 works on it's own (windows version) with the installer and with the archive - the patch (at least for me) for the new beta WOULD NOT when I pactched over the archived version of FOFix 3.1 final.... It worked perfectly, however, when I patched over the 'installed' version.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Matt!

I'm still of the opinion that if you change themes and you want it in that song directory, play a song from that game. Viola!

I mean, next you will be asking for the game to rig up some kind of telepathic thing where it automatically detects what theme you want to run.

Python is good and all, but I'm pretty sure import ESP isn't rigged up yet.

I dont mean it having ESP i mean create a songs folder in the theme folder and the game reads it.

Firstly, I agree that adding other things is more important, It was just an idea for later addition. Also, I don't always use GH2 Sloppy. Just depends on my mood. :P

jfosheezy wrote:yea I already heard that but you guys arent getting it.If you change themes it will automaticly go to that folder and it will be cooler.

I don't think YOU get it. FoFiX is NOT a Guitar Hero / Rock band clone. It is a rhythm game that borrows a lot of features from those. There are... how many clone themes (that have songs from the game)? GH1/2/3/80s/Aerosmith, RB1/2 = 7 themes. On the FoFiX theme list, there are about 100 themes. (more if you count the older ones).
Also, what if people don't have GH 3, or RB 2 songs?

We get the idea. We understand where you're coming from. Some of us even see the good side of it, but overall it's a pretty useless feature. Like has been said above, it saves you a few seconds, if that. And it misses the whole point of having custom songs (you do realize all those ripped songs are illegal, right?)

I hate periods between weekends when people are disscussing useless stuff (for me, it is sorry ) and no issues are fixed and co. ... I wish the days when tons of issues were fixed at a day, and it was fun to read the Fofix development thread, were back... Yeah i know, coders have life, they have to live, get money, eat. I understand, just thinking out loud.

I did ask a while back about a pre patched version of 3.120, that i can download. I'm having issues with 2.6 lagging and 2.4 not starting after patching.

I'm on windows xp pro sp3

<@away_xbox> Diffuse the timer by cutting the correct wire. There are 14 wires. They are Green White Peenus Indigo Black Gold Grey Brown Violet Turquoise Teal Magenta Mauve and Yellow.

<@away_xbox> ...snip....
<@away_xbox> Amak11 cut the Peenus wire. This has defused the timer on the TNT! Just try and get it off you without setting it off, ok?

I would argue that the Alpha-Tester-Wannabes scared them off.

Heaven forbid a non-working feature is commited to a piece of Alpha Software.

When people do not continually ask us that question.

There is far too much noise in this thread. When developers have to deal with useless postings in their development thread, they cannot develop.

It also is a real downward drag on those few alpha testers who are actually using it for the right reasons (you know who you are!), as a clean, on-topic development thread is the perfect way for them to keep up with things that do not get handled over on Google Code.

yeah really its annoying having everyone asking "when is a beta coming out(before the beta) , whens the next release coming out "

death_au wrote:Nope. I'm running on win7 beta currently, and I just got the error on the GH3 theme... investigating further and will report back...

---- EDIT ----

Got it. Animated hit flames are crashing it on drums.
That's why the rock band 2 theme failed for you and worked for me, you had your own custom hitflame animation, if I recall correctly, right? Whereas no such file is in the svn.

EDIT2: The error for the log file (if it was posted earlier, it's pretty much guaranteed buried now)

Code: Select all

(E) Loading error:Traceback (most recent call last):

Thanks. And maybe thats why Megalight themes work, they dont have animated hitflames. Thnx!
