Songs aren't working with a mod i've used...

Heya guys,
Up until now i've been using version 1.2.451 of frets on fire, but I wanted to get this mod https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=17;t=15533 but it said it would only work with version 1.1.324. So I downloaded version 1.1.324, although after extraction it didn't need to be installed, or more so I wasnt prompted with an install. So I used the application launcher and it worked so I don't know if thats just me. Anywhos I downloaded the guitar hero 3 mod, put it in the mods folder, activated the mod in the game settings and it was all working fine. But when I got all of the songs I had downloaded when I was using version 1.2.451 and put them in the songs folder, whenever I go to play game and try to select one of them in the list I just keep getting errors and none of the songs work. The erros are something like file could not be read. Am I doing something wrong? The couple of songs that come with the game work fine, just not the ones i've downloaded. The songs i've downloaded are all the GH3 songs, some of Puppetz songs and some random albums from the ablums section. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Edit - I have now found out that the songs don't work with that version of the game fullstop, not just with the mod.

Worldrave's GHIII Mod is a stand-alone mod so you don't put it in the mod folder, you just extract and play.
